I agree Paul and we are thinking of buying a new laptop but we shall have to buy a new type of router then won't we? |

Whilst you are on the topic of Laptops, if I got one could I download all the stuff I have on my old PC onto it. I have loads of photos, would it take them, or would it take forever to download them. Sorry if this sounds a simple question but I don't want to get one and then find out all my other stuff is stuck! Gloria x |

Gloria I'm a total technophobe so I got my son to copy everything across to my laptop when I got it in January. Apparently it's easy and I probably ought to make and effort to understand pcs before he disappears to God knows where on his gap year! Daisy |

Gloria, its easy peasy. Just get blank CD's and transfer your photo's onto the CD. Then when you get your Laptop, insert CD and transfer onto the laptop. If I can do it, I am sure you can. Will talk you through it, when you get yours. Jenny. x |

How many photos you can fit on a CD is directly proportional to the quality of the picture and therefore how big each file is - on top resulation the pics that my camera takes are about 1.5mb. You can fit 700mb on a stanrard CD - I'll leave you to do the maths :) Chrissie - you don't NEED to buy a new router, if you already have one, you can plug the laptop into it if it has a standard ethernet LAN port - wireless is just better :) Paul (ps Jenny - PCMCIA actually :p) |

Hi Paul Trust you to go all technical LOL:)) I meant that we have a router connected to the main PC and a card thingy sticking out of the laptop. If we buy a new laptop with wireless in it, we shall need a new type of router won't we? I cant stick the one we have in my laptop as it is in the main PC. Hows that for technical LOL:)) Chrissie |

My sons lap top is in my bedroom. He says I can use it if I want, but I'm a bit afraid of it. Mainly because it is his and not mine, but I would love to try it. Deanna X |
