oh yeah, as I have ended up a few miles away from my earliest Caiger's villages! I feel like photographing all the buildings, bays etc they MIGHT have seen to send to my new cuz in Oz. The best bit was that family were stonemasons so when I look for my graves, I also wonder if the stones were made by my rellies! xx Jen

Jen Some of mine were builders, so I often wonder if they had a hand in building some of the houses around Bromely Fred Interesting point. At the end of the day if it was introduced drinking would only go 'underground'. In Uncle Silas he had smuggled in his 'drop of the hard stuff' in what looked like a turps bottle. Dee x

No, but I believe in moderation of alcohol. Many of my immediate family were temperance people and my Gt Gt Aunts were members of the Band Of Hope. Must be my Methodist ancestry (although I'm not tee total myself). Jacquie

No - but then I don't drink enough to float a goldfish so wouldn't make a lot of difference!

Hi Gwynne That's one of the things that makes family history come to life isn't it, when you have original documents that your ancestors would have held. We have the apprenticeship papers for a couple of my OH's relations. Like the quote Paul, Dee ;-))
