Pink that is a brilliant idea. my friends daughter is a sign language teacher, and uses it for her other job, don't know the title, but she mentors deaf children through mainstream eduction. when she got married, it was amazing to watch her interpreting the speaches for her deaf friends at the wedding. You do it Pink, listen to daddy, he knows best. Deanna X |

Diana I did level one and passed that and then started level 2 but we moved so never carried on with it. Was good fun and my teacher and her family amazed me as both parents were deaf and one of their three children was. Really should try and get back into it, was thinking about trying to get into a special schoo to help. Will have to ask hubbys customers about it as a couple are deaf and I'm sure they will give me what info they can. |

Watch out, or you'll end up like me. My students often get the giggles when I wave my hands round too much in lectures - I just can't get rid of the habit since being a Tchr of the Df! Have to try to remember to restrain them (the hands, not the students) LOL! Seriously - all the best of luck with it. You've got a major head start on most of us who learned to sign from scratch. And your Dad will be so proud of you and himself! Sue (in NZ) |

Credit card is going to take a battering but it will be worth it!! They are accepting me mid-term as the course co-ordinator knows my parents from old and she reckons my signing will be to a standard that is acceptable to the tutor!! YEAY!! Daddy is really pleased and excited that he can help me learn by signing to me in the evenings...... So now he has a job to do and he feels worthy again!! :O) |

GO FOR IT! My number one ambition has been to be fluent in 5 languages before I'm 30 (so far am conversational in french and that's it) and one of those languages is BSL. Would love to know how you find the course to be and maybe when I have the time I'll enrol as well. love becx |

I may be wrong Diana, but I seem to remember someone telling us that if you have a deaf or partial hearing person within the family unit, then you are able to take the courses for free. My wife Dianne is 75 per cent deaf, but she didn't want to do the courses at the time. Check with your local college. John |
