£200 for an overcoat! Was it mink? My father wouldn't have paid £20 for a coat in the fifties. Come to think of it, he'd begrudge paying that now! Demob suit and great coat did my father well for years Beth :)

Born in Dun Laoghaire then moved to Manchester as a lad. Then over to the Wirral before relocating company to Liverpool. He only had 1 daughter (my mum) so she's no good. I'm the next eldest male so I'll just take my seat now. I'm sitting right now in his old chair. Big black leather one. Stangely addictive.

It was a Crommie coat? Not sure. Probably getting confused between his coat and the coats of the Royal Family.

He wouldn't. He knows I love him so much. I keep refilling his glass of wine, getting his ashtray, extra fat bacon butties, oiling his car breaks. He couldn't do without me.
