Joy *The Carlos Cutie of Ilson* Report 10 Nov 2005 13:21

No I don't. It's Jean. Would have preferred just the original name my Mum came up with, Georgina, but Dad wouldn't have any of it. Joy

Heather Report 10 Nov 2005 13:18

I rather like mine.....it's Erika. My father's second name was Eric. Rose

Rachel

Rachel Report 10 Nov 2005 10:42

I do like my middle name, Elizabeth, but m glad that dad was not allows to name me Elizabeth Ann as he had wanted because mum has 2 cousins Elizabeth who are also cousins to each other and now I've descoved that half my dad's family was called Elizabeth. My initals are REA the same as my dad's grandmother after she married. Brother is ODA, dad is DA (dad has no middle name but his frist name is brothers middle name) Mum was LAW but is now LAA. If brother had been a sister he would be LKA, and named Lucy Kathleen after my mothers grandmother who were Ida Lucy and Hilda Kathleen. Mum thought Ida and Hilda were very old fashioned 15 years ago so wouldn't have used them

Louise

Louise Report 10 Nov 2005 09:45

Yes. It's Louise. I hate my first name Beverley. My dad hated it too ( it was my mum's choice), so I've always been known as Louise. Although when I was a child I was called Sam when I was good and Louise when I was naughty just to confuse things. Louise

Yes, Lucia. I'd much rather have been called Elizabeth than Mary, then my initials wouldn't have been MES CB >|<

Tammy

Tammy Report 10 Nov 2005 08:07

No - I have never liked my middle name :~( My initals before were TCB and are now TCV My youngest has 2 middle names as her two older sisters chose 1 each. At the time they were 7 and 9 so the fear of Barbie was still there but they were very good and picked Rachel and Elizabeth. My daughters initials are AKV, RVV and KREV. Tammy

My mum thought she'd share her middle name - Victoria - with me. I used to hate it when I was younger but I must admit it's grown on me over the years.

I don't have a middle name, neither does my husband. We have coped without so we didn't choose middle names for our 3 children. Do you actually need them? Gwyn

Fiona aka Ruby

Fiona aka Ruby Report 10 Nov 2005 01:41

My children's surname begins with the letter 'D', so I thought it better to steer clear of middle names that began with a vowel - imagine how dreadful it would have been for the possible Sophie Olivia or Benjamin Alexander!! Therefore I thought, in 1984, it was very clever of me to think of Caroline Jennifer's name. Little did I realise then that she would spend most of her time at school being called 'Mad Cow'! Sorry Caz!
