I understand what your saying and you have a point, but Its probably something the police have wanted to speak out about for some time, this has given them the opportunity,

i do feel for her and her family but i find that it is so different when a police officer is killed the police are up in arms about it which is right but all killers should be treated the same.you cannot have the death penalty for a cop killler and not from an innocent bystander being killed by the maniacs we have on our streets today..like someone said it is there job and there are risks also in other jobs like fighting the war on terrorism in iraq...soldiers are dying everydayxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)))):

I'm with you Lisa!! I was rather taken aback when i heard on the news a few minutes ago that they wanted the death penalty for cop killers!!!! Cops are doing their job when they are caught in the line of fire, whereas child killers are true murderers!! Now that would be a real reason for bringing back the death penalty!!! Karen

But the death of the policewomen was tragic but so is all the other victims that have been killed by gun crime and all other murders including child killing so why have the ex police commisioner sir john stalker come out and have said that the people who have commited this brutal act should be given life and not released until they die and to bring back the death penalty.when sarah payne and holly and jessica were murdered and other victims were killed in a brutal way the police did not react in this way.they did not state that the death penalty should be brought into force and these animals should be given life which means life.shouldn't all murderes face the gallows and to not see daylight again.....that is my view .sorry if this has offendedxxxxxxxx)))):
