Bev I know just what you mean about snowballs Ann Must admit I am a bit of a heathen these days, I like a dry sherry over ice Julie Brandy is a drink I have never really liked, once had it with Babycham - big mistake!! Dee xx (hope my son is not reading this, he will disown me!!)

I love sherry and port, especially when I have a cold and am feeling very sorry for myself a measure of brandy and a measure of port (the measures are entirely dependent on personal taste, I usually stop at a pint total though :-)), doesnt help the cold, but depending on how much you drink, you forget it for a while and get a good sleep

And Advocaat (spelling!) Always had a bottle of it at Xmas for the compulsory Snowballs - the most vomit-inducing yuk ever (apologies if you're eating). Bev x

Peter Nice to see traditions still exist Mandy My treat at Christmas was a glass of port and lemon. I got a bit of a shock when I had my first 'pub' port and lemon, I think my parents used to just colour the lemonade Dee xx

Quite so Dee, you are very observant this evening. However I must add sherry can be taken with a mild addition of Ferro Roche.

We always buy one of each. The sherry gets drunk before christmas dinner usually by yhe ladies, the port always afterwards by the lads. Harveys is still around, wouldnt say it is posh - reasonable quality for its price.
