Excuse me Jules - when you say your husband 'bought a baby' and was feeding it up for Christmas - I hope you are refering to a baby turkey? :))) Lin

There's only me and my hubby. We always have a breakfast - Scrambles eggs and smoked salmon. Then we pop next door for a drink while dinner is cooking. In a bit of a pickle this year - we have been invited to friends early evening and they are laying on food, so what do I do for Christmas dinner that's light? I know that we could skip breakfast, but we need to have something to soak up the early Christmas beverage. Lin

Oh Carol. I didn' realise you would have to do it manually. Try copy & paste by following these instructions. Open Microsoft word or whatever programme you use to save it in. Left click & hold down on the text you wish to copy when it is all highlighted in blue right click and you get options press copy then go into microsoft word or wherever you are saviing it & right click the options come up again press paste. Hope this helps Carol as I don't like to think of you typing loads of stuff like that out for us. Good luck Pat x

Can't help replying to Pat about her comments on not eating of meats,Pat i'm afraid that fish and shellfish are also meat, and creatures still have to be killed to produce it,is it just that you like the taste of fish and not the other? I'm not trying to make waves ,just curious,i love fish too.Fred.PtfA&G&G&S.

If I liked turkey I would pay it. We are having it for our old folks lunch tomorrow, so that will be enough for me. We are having BM precooked Turkey crown. We sliced it today and it was soggy and salty. Our Tesco usually sell fresh turkeys of cheap in the afternoon of the 24th, but I suppose you can't rely on it. Last year we got a bag of about 10kgs of sprouts for 10p and whole salmon for £1.50 a kilo. David

Hi Carol, Did you get some more snow? We will be having Turkey and Gammon but I think you should have what you enjoy. Mind when I had poached egg on top of mashed potato for Christmas lunch when I was in Austria, I wasn't very happy. June xx
