Ours is the end of year into summer hols, as well as Xmas. We get ......one drink at a farewell lunch (with 2 1/2 hrs of speeches farewelling colleagues/friends)...and we pay for our own lunch. Still it's nice company, and we're paid to be at work that day, I s'pose. Comes of working for the Govt (in Education). Sue (in NZ)

My first thought was, 'don,t be filthy', but realising you meant something else I got a much appreciated cash sum from the government (and taxpayer, thank you) as a pensioner. Happy days

not prying but do you get one? we got our 3 days in between christmas and new year given back to us so we carry 3 days leave over to next year. that was our thanks! i'd rather lose the leave and get a weeks wages! lol! paul...
