A pub near me had a free pensioners party, they all all got a full Xmas dinner with all the trimmings , 3 free drinks of anything they wished! and an envelope each with £50 in it when they left, Now I think that was wonderful for all those pensioners and well done the Landlord and staff for raising the money. We all used to get a chocolate Santa and a card from our boss. Then his wife stopped working at the place that made the chocolate santas so we just got the card. Then last year we all had to share the same e-mail. Times must be getting hard for those at the top.

I work for a well known bank which begins with B. We get a big fat ZERO at Christmas and have been told that the end of year bonuses for our division are likely to be minimal. This is in the face of record profits and board members receiving million pound bonuses.
