Pre-children I used to work full-time in London running the library & information dept of a major disability charity. Then I was a full-time mum. Now I am still full-time mum, but also work 26 hours a week in infants in local primary school. I have been doing 6 hours special needs time and then working as class assistant in two mixed year1/2 classes. Next term I will be working 1:1 for four hours a week with an autistic boy, and then 4 hours a week special needs throughout the infants (and working with a year 5 boy from Eastern Europe as English is his 2nd language) and the rest of my time will be divided between 3 other infant classes, the 2 year 1/2 classes as before, but also a class of year 1/reception with a new teacher.
