just got back myself - in one piece lol! didn't need too much but gawd it was manic!! loads of people with 2 trolleys. not to mention all the displays in the middle of the aisles and the staff pushing big trolleys of stuff round to fill the shelves with. grrrrrrr!! I used the 'cash only' checkout and it worked, person in front had just a basket, so I got through really quick. off to the cemetary now with mum, hopefully it will be a bit calmer there lol!! Maz. Peter, how do you know tat those older people shopping (who, according to you should not shop on Saturdays), a Haven't got a fridge so need to shop for freah produce, or b. do voluntary work all week so only have weekends free? they may even still be working in B&Q, or maybe they look after the grandchildren all week. There is room for everyone. ann Glos (who is not 70 plus but who can see both sides). |

Morning Lindy! I've just been and done my last little bits at Sainsbury's. The shop was full, but I managed to get through very quickly on the basket checkout. Not like Asda yesterday. That was absolute bedlam! lol All the best to you and your family for Christmas and the New Year and thankyou for everything ;-) Jeanette x |

I't's the 70 plus brigade that insist on shopping on a Saturday morning that annoy us - why they can't shop during the week is beyond us. They then stand in the middle of the aisle gassing to each other, and blocking everything in sight. If you ask them to move the just give you daggers. A chap I knew some years ago gave us asking them to move in the end and just jused to say 'beep beep' in a loud voice, which seemed to do the trick. |
