Many of the English & Welsh girls ones I don't particularly like (won't say which ones) I like Kate or Katie the best. Many of the boys ones I do, and many are in my family tree as they would be many others trees as well. Faves would be Jack, Samuel, Josua and Wiliiam. Have to say i can't see any of the Scottish ones I don't like well except one maybe two of the girls names. So I'm with the Scots on these names, really good ones there. Pat x

Some lovely names there Pat. Every wee girl I hear about being born at the moment seems to be Ellie. Love the number 1 Scottish boys name though! LOL Was reading this........... some of the more unusual names in Scotland this year were Aanus, A-Jay, Blessing and C. Can you imagine some poor wee bairn called Aanus?.....what a bummer! The most popular names for Boys and Girls 2005 has been released and I find them interesting as so many old names are coming back into fashion & some others have remained popular for a long time. I think it’s great to see them; some very strong names have stayed popular for quite a few years now. Pat x
