Thanks again everyone. I am feeling much better now. I called head office yesterday to ask about a reference, seems they don't give them out anyway, just confirm that you worked for them and the dates, so that's not going to be a problem for me. I then filled them in on all the dodgy things that are going on, and the serious health issues and bullying and they are looking into it. I have been told they will get back to me, but i won't hold my breath! It made me feel better to get it off my chest and who knows maybe they will keep a closer eye on stuff and the other staff will benefit as a result. I spent last night trying to sort out a CV as i have an office based job to apply for, it's really hard trying to make something out of nothing, lol, but it goes in the post later when i go out, so i am hoping someone will see through the waffle and give me a chance........but in the meantime i have plans to walk plently and re-aquaint myself with the housework lol. Hi Yvette, I'm sure that it was their loss. Turn it to your own advantage and go out there and get something that you enjoy more. Good Luck. Maggy |

Arghh, sorry to hear that Yvette. I remember you saying how much you were originally looking forward to the challenge, and if memory serves me right, I think you had just started when we were down for the London Eye ride. Look at it this way, if you really weren't happy then had you stayed your confidence could have diminished further. By coming to the conclusion now that things didn't feel right then hopefully you give your confidence a chance to recover more quickly. Hugs, Andy x |

Mega Mags Hug coming your way! (Lumpy but quite comfortable!) Good for you! I walked out on the job I had been in for 11 years - burnt out and stressed to explosion point. I wish I had had the guts to leave before. Well done you! Money isn't everything, your sanity is! Value yourself - You have good cause to. Love Mags xxx |

Thanks everyone, you are all lovely, and the hugs really help, and Daisy...that sounds like a good idea, maybe we should pick a few dates to try and meet and walk. We never did get round to the weekend all get-together for a pre-trek walk......... |

Yvette - it's most definitely their loss but the main thing is for you to be happy in yourself and for the family. Of course you'll miss the money but your confidence shouldn't be dependent on paid employment and I'd like to see any of them attempting what you're doing this year. Enjoy the freedom and work those calf muscles!! lol If you fancy a day or two out walking let me know! Huge Hugs ((((XXXX)))) Daisy |

Yvette sweetie, It is their loss. You are a really lovely young lady and I am sure you must have been really stressed to walk out. The ice was broken when you got that job. Shoulders back, best foot forward, go girl. You can do it. Think what you are tackling in March. Jean x. |
