For rape & abduction, poss 15 to 25yrs, most likely less if they plead guilty. What a joke, the little girl has a life sentence now no matter what the B......s get.

I would hope they get life imprisonment and never be allowed out! I don't think paedophiles can be rehabilitated any more that heterosexual could be forced to become gay! Julie xxx

A defense lawyer may well be appointed by the courts and so not hve any say in it, the best they could do would be to convince them to plead guilty! Julie xxx

Quote'' Its a tough job, but somebody has to do it!'' In our legal system, no one is guilty, until proved to be so. unless you want to go back to the days of lynching, and the wild west.. Bob

I think a lot of people would refuse. But wouldn't the state supply them with one?

What kind of defense can you come up with: the child led them on?, 3 people had a mentle blackout? they all had alcoholic mothers and drug user fathers? I would put the defense lawyer in the same class of person as the perp. And of course if he gets them out on parole he can happy look forward to their next job for him.
