Hi BC. We were told today it's not cureable (sp?) but it is treatable which I guess means it will never go away but can be controlled with medication. I just don't want to see my mum suffer. |

Just found out today my mum has been diagnosed with myeloma. She has been suffering from osteoporosis for a while and went to the doctors about pains in the tops of her legs. We went to the hospital today for the results of blood tests she had last week and she ended up having to have loads of x-rays and also had to have bone marrow taken which was very unpleasant. We have to go back next Tuesday for the results but they are 95% sure it is myeloma. It hasn't sunk it yet but I'm sure it will soon. Does anyone have any experience of anyone with myeloma as the hospital haven't raelly told us much. |
