13 yr old son has cookery tomorrow. Last week he told me he was making Pizza, I said are you sure as you made that before Christmas, yes he assured me, so today I went and bought the toppings he wanted. He’s just come down the stairs and said, oops I forgot, it’s not Pizza its ‘flavored bread’! What the h**l is ‘flavored bread’, please can anyone explain? I have never heard of it, considering he’s saying can he put chocolate chips and orange in it! Either he’s hallucinating or I am! Thanks for any help Kim

No he is not wrong ....you can add almost anything you want to bread dough.... Wendy.xxxxx

It could be a cheese bread or a cheese and jalapeno. Or, orange and cranberry. Just a couple of suggestions. Deb

I should imagine its like that Italian bread stuff my husband eats - it seems to have cheese, tomatoes, olives, roasted peppers and that sort of thing, plus olive oil - but don't you just love the little sweethearts when they tell you at the last moment.....

My son made flavoured bread when he was at school, he put bacon and cheese in it lol

Supermarkets make specialty bread with olives, sundried tomatoes, garlic, herbs, cheese etc (so rather like pizza toppings!) My son did make some bread dough with various flavourings including choc chip and dried fruit. nell

Thanks you guy's I am sooooo uncultured! only knew of White and Wholemeal! lol That's it sorted then, he can take the cheese and the onion and I'll chuck a pack of bacon in for good measures! lol Thank you everyone can't believe he told me this time of night! I'm sure fruit bread would count, add spice as well. Two popular ones here are banana and raison, and a very weird one was glace cherry and vanilla, it is very pink, but tastes good! Suex

If worst comes to worst, maybe ring a school mate in the same class in the morning. Hopefully there is a shop on the way! ......... i also have teens!

YEp very ofetn my daughter would suddenly remember she had cookery at about 7-30 in the morning and we would be one of the sad people standing outside Tesco waiting for it to open!
