Errrm, the pub wanted to shut and I wanted to stay about sums it up. I was bodily removed several times but every time the bouncers dropped me on the pavement I scuttled back in. Six friends couldn't drag me away and eventually one called the police. So when the paddy wagon arrived, I thought there was a fight going on and shoved everyone out of the way so i could get a better look and was amazed to discover they had sent four coppers to pick me up! Poor little me! I had been imbibing since lunch-time and was only fed half a bag of chips - and I had fallen off my stool and cracked my head really well on a wall but I can't imagine what the problem was. Beth :0 |

me and some mates were bored one sunday night back in 1983.....decided to get in my mates car after the pub closed and go up the nearest motorway services on the M5......about 20 miles away. we left there about 2am and headed back to worcester.............we needed to stop for a toilet break on the way back and pulled up by the grandstand at worcester race course............next thing....6 police cars surround us and we were all searched and made to sit in the back of one of the squad cars.....one at a time.......and explain to the chief super intendant where we had been and what were we doing at the racecourse. They had been given a tip off that the club at the race course was going to be 'done over'.......we were just in the wrong place at the right time!! Once they realised we weren't up to any mischief....they told us to 'bugger off quickly'..............and next time we see this car we dont want to see 10 people in it!! Nick |

I nearly did - On my way home one night with a group of girly friends and I was freezing (the only one who never took a coat out!!!). Saw a police car and asked 'if I show you my bum will you give me a lift home'. mates were wetting themselves, policeman was not seeing the funny side so I bared my butt...... he offered me a lift........... to the police station. Luckily my mates turned a little more sensible and dragged me away. |

Was dragged out of a speeding car which had gone down a one way street, and taken to police station. On another occasion I was interrogated re a murder case. This was many years ago, I hasten to add. lol BC |

I've been spoken to for a few minor motoring offences, and I've been breathalysed too, once, despite the accident being in no way my fault. I know its standard practice though, and I hadn't had any alcohol, so I wasn't bothered. I was driving down the M1, there was an accident in front of me, I saw it coming by the way the person in front was driving, so was already slowing down... I stopped in good time, but the person behind me was day dreaming and went into the back of me, so a 2 car crash turned into a 4 car crash. Nobody was hurt though, which is the most important thing. |

No Paul, But I was breathalysed after I slipped on black ice a couple of years ago and crashed my husband's car. I managed to write it off even though I was only doing about 15 miles an hour! I felt so humiliated but I know that it is a good safeguard procedure. The air bag had gone off and smoke was coming out of it which I thought was the engine on fire! So I jumped out quick and pulled my little girl out of her car seat in the back. The policeman was lovely and I sat in the back seat of their patrol car until my friend came to take me home. Regards Abigail |

Paul, I did 30 years unblemished service in the police. Prior to that I did National service in Korea. We were allowed to buy Asahi beer, but the Americans weren,t. We bought the beer at what is now 6p a bottle and sold it to the Americans at 2 dollars a bottle. Our commanding officer found out and we were arrested. We were soon out. I think the arrest was a warning to ourselves and others. (good job it never went on my record) Happy days |
