Skeletons? I wish!!!! Not for nothing do they call me Pollyanna. Never done anything naughty or rebellious, was a right goodytwoshoes at school and still am. Would love to develop an edgy, rebellious and slightly scandalous side. I know it's all in there, totally repressed and just waiting to get out! Daisy

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 29 Jan 2006 10:13

Hello darlin' - me ... skeletons ???!!! I would only worry about things that would affect others - well, my kids really. MY reputation is long gone so no point trying to salvage that! Anyone can think what they like about me - they haven't had to live my life and make the decisions I have made - but I would not open myself up to public inspection in case anything I have done is turned back on my children. Having said that, the only opinions I really value are those of my real-life friends and family anyway - if people condemn you for your past actions, then they are not really your friends as far as I'm concerned. Jean Durant Report 29 Jan 2006 08:28

I have lived a very dull life (wish I could turn back the clock)...... and I really can't think of anything of note that I have done that would interest anyone. On the subject of politicians having lived a little I certainly have no objection to this. The thing I most object to is lying. As far as I am concerned if they lie to protect their 'jobs and status' how could I possibly believe anything they say. Jean x.

Nell & Julia Yr both right about the papers & the media in general *but* I do buy papers and will sometimes read the scandal while mentally criticising the content, bias and bad reporting:) Suppose that makes me apathetic at best :S

Unknown

Unknown Report 29 Jan 2006 00:48

Bryan - there's nothing wrong with not having erred:)) Jim & Felicity - that's the distinction :) The difference between an MP doing something illegal and something which some people would consider immoral. While we continue to buy the papers that create the scandals I can't see much changing.

Julia

Julia Report 29 Jan 2006 00:47

also innocent until proven guilty doesnt seem to be a concept that the 'ladies' and gentlemen of the press seem to subscribe to either, which is why I gave up buying newspapers a good few years ago and only ever buy them if there is a CD or DVD (redeemable at Woolworths ) that I want to possess :-))

Unknown Report 29 Jan 2006 00:45

On the other hand, if the public switched off the tv everytime there was a 'revelation' and didn't buy the newspapers that print the dirty laundry stories, then the media would get the message. Sadly, many people find the private lives of public people entertaining. Probably because their own private lives are too dull! nell no skeletons in my cupboard as far as I am aware, or maybe I've just forgotten. But I am sure the media could dress up a few ill-judged moments if they tried!
