Hey Tony, it's a sign! Not only have I just eaten Subway and entered the competition, but as I type, a little money spider is now jumping around on my monitor!!!!! What brilliant luck, hooray. Just so I'm not confused, when you say Tattslotto, I presume you're referring to Oz Lotto. Please confirm. Ooo how exciting! And I love the syndicate name. I don't think we need any more formal agreement that what you have suggested. Trifely, I've got a laptop and a desk top. The laptop's convenient, but typing can be a bit of a pain. Well, lunch is over, back to work! Lew Lew PS - Money spider still on monitor!!!!!!!

Afternoooon Wattlers. Nice Sunny warm day in Melb. and forecast was for 28c. Well its lunch time, and home having a bite to eat.. ( Subway ) Why a Subway??....cos it has a Competition on it at the mo....lol and i have been instructed by Barb, that i am to eat Subway for Lunch....:>)) Well, we have 13 starters now for our Tattslotto, and i have rung Tattersalls to check if we need to register as a Syndicate. The answer is No........But we should form a Syndicate name. Dont know what others thoughts are, but i was thinking...'Wattlelotto' for our syndicate name. I was explained by Tattersalls, that there is no 'Tax' charged on Winning tickets in Oz....if and when we win the Major.1st Divy. It is a mutal agreement by all of us to share our winnings....and when we win the big one..lol...as we are a group, we become shareholders of the win, so a win of ..say a Million $ would be divided equally amongts the Syndicate shareholder. 'Wattlelotto' group. I have a copy of all shareholders in our Lotto group, ( 13 at the moment )and will forward a copy to everyone, to prove they are Shareholders of our Syndicate. I have bought our 1st Ticket, and will post it off to everyone.( shortly ) Its for this Saturday night coming..25th Here is a list of who's turn it is to buy the Ticket and the date, ( randomly picked ) that the ticket will be drawn. So you need to buy the ticket for our group approx 2-3 days before the date you are supplied with.....scan it..( the Ticket ).and send it to me....ta. Copy and paste it or save it....so you know what Saturday night its your turn to buy Tattslotto. Tony.....for the 25th Mar... Purchased Anna.... 1st April Joodle....8th April Lara......15th April Lew......22nd April Vonny.....29th April Gwenda....6th May SusyQ....13th May Judy YV3.....20th May Leah......27th May Trifley.....3rd June Sue ( In Tas. )......10th June Laurie........17th June. I will now Bless our Ticket.....:>)))))) Our ancestors who art in Heaven Hello...wots your name. Give us our win, our weekly grin on earth, while we are still here. And forgive us our plastic cards as we cant elp ourselves. Cos,we need $$$ and $$$ forever and ever...Amen.....:>)) O'k...back to work for me. Tony Oz....:>))

Pretty sure he doesn't want anything.....or done anything ha ha. He was just well trained by his mum. His brother is like it too. There are not too many of them around. I am getting SICK of this old Windows 98 computer. It is degrading and crashing and being a bloody nuisance. Mark (son) and nephew and niece-in-law are putting forward arguments for a lap top instead of a desk top PC. Have only used Mark's lap top (Qosmio) a few times so am not an expert on them. As lap tops come with all the bells & whistles these days would it be better, when I upgrade, to go with one of those? Nephew & niece-in-law have said I can back all my 'tree' info on a memory stick and could use the lap top in more places. As you lot understand my genealogy needs....what is the general opinion? Big desk top PC....or lap top? 'Bye love Trifley

Hi Wattlers I've put on a thread about the Canadian reaction to our tourism ad. I wonder if 'they' will get this one pulled? I had to take Mark (son) to work this morning as the Forrester is in having a service before the rally on Friday. The traffic is UNBELIEVABLE! Bumper to bumper from Mudgeeraba to Pacific Fair. It was like a long, narrow car park! Or for those of you who are old enough to remember......the squash trying to get out of the drive-in after the movie had finished. Mark said it is like this most mornings. I don't know how he stands it. Every car in Qld. must be on the road at 8:10am. When I got back home (eventually) I found Graeme (hubby) had washed the brekkie dishes AND made the bed before he went to work. Isn't he wonderful? I hope everyones colds are getting better........ keep drinking the fluids! Joodles....thinking of you, poor thing, starving! Enjoy your meal after the ultra sound. To all the rest........big Gold Coast hugs and happy thoughts. <<<<GC>>>> See y'all later. love Trifley

Hi all Just a very quick hello as there are men swarming all over the house with power tools!! Sorry to get you all excited - just air conditioning going in. Great to hear from Laurie again and to know all is OK. Jood - thinking of you today and hope your tests go well. That first meal is sure going to taste good! I'm So sorry to hear of your losses. It's strange when it involves people from a previous time in your life - it brings back so many memories. Hubby received an hilarious email about 'that ad' - you know - the notorious tourism one. However, it has a worse word than bloody in it. If anyone wants me to forward it, I will, but just wanted to give prior warning of the language!! Sounds as if you are on target for getting into the house by the end of March Lew. How exciting! I had to laugh when Tony dredged up that old song 'Hullabaloo-loo, Don't bring Lew Lew I'll bring her myself' Gosh that must have been a song they sang during the war I think!! You wouldn't have even been born! Glad to hear people are having successes with their family historyl After all, that is why we are supposed to be on this site!! Man coming in to cut a hole in the ceiling - yikes! I won't look! Bye Anna

Morning All Gee everyone sound busy with their lives at the moment. Gwenda and Vonny it is also cold here today, sitting a puta with trackies and jumper, debating if I need a heater on, my cold has gone but I dont want it back as I am booked in to have Flu vax on Thursday. Condolences to all who have lost family or inlaws over the last couple of days. I am like Gwenda and had a contact from someone who seems to be in my tree. with what they told me, we have the same Great Great Grandparents, although a couple of other things did not match, but they are willing to share certificates they have with me so we will find out what the correct info is hopefully. The Cyclone has certainly done some damage in Qld. My parents are supposed to be going up around Cairns and a few other places at the end of May. I havent seen them since the Cyclone so I am not sure if they are still going or if they decided to postpone or change their plans. Good to see Laurie and Mary pop on, if only briefly. Well thats about it for now in cool, cloudy Tassie. Catch you after. Cheers sue

Good Morning Wattlers and hope you are all fit and well. Hugs to all those who have lost loved ones (((O))). Another day in the office and a day closer to the house being finished. Pavers are currently paving around the fish pond, which has turned out slightly larger than expected. We're going to have to stock it with sharks just to fill it up! Anyway, it looks fantastic. Vanities are in, although the doors had to be returned as they were not sealed properly! Carpet goes down on Monday, then the builders want 2 days to do a thorough clean up (which I am very happy with). Have a great day and I'll chat with you all again soon. Lew Lew xxx

Joodles - I forgot to say sorry for your loss too. What a sad time for people at the moment. Laurie - good to hear from you again - we thought you'd been locked up in the records office - not that you would mind I'm sure. Sorry to hear about the colds but they are doing the rounds here too - hope you're feeling better soon. I had contact from a family member just before I went to bed last night - seems we have the same grandfather - just that he's one generation down the line - trouble with having older parents. Hope he makes contact again. Off to get brekky - not going to work today - would end up coughing over the customers - would hate to give them my cold - even tho probably one of them coughed over me last week - lol Have a great day. Hi Everyone Happy belated birthday Shaz. I am glad you had a good day. Anna - my condolences to you. Hope Thursday will be okay for you. Tony - could I also be in the Lotto please. Hope I am not too late. Glad that your mum is getting better. Have just spent the last hour reading up the thread. I haven't been on GR as much as usual the last few weeks though when am still read this thread. It is a great thread, you are all really nice people. Hubby has been decorating as my daughter, husband and two granddaughters are coming for five days early in April. Haven't seen them for nearly a year. They live in the NT. Really looking forward to them arriving. Will be spoiling the girls and claiming grandparents privileges(sp). During the last week there has been a large festival in Goulburn of Heritage and Roses which gets bigger every year. Have been on the collective organising this festival for the last few years it has run and it was great to see so many visitors to Goulburn. Also part of the festival is Cathedral Week so I was very busy with that as there was something going on every day with that. We have some amazing heritage buildings here, some heritage buildings that don't normally open have started to open with this festival and it is really great to see. Best wishes everyone. Leah

Evening Wattlers We had a nice day in sunny old Qld today. Not much in the way of humidity, thank god. I have a new twig on my tree.....yayyy. My gt niece delivered a beautiful bouncing baby girl last Saturday. Breeanna was 24ins long and weighed 8lbs. I hear she is as cute as a button. Of course, my sister could be a little prejudiced as it is her gt granddaughter lol. Some of you who might remember the saga of the damaged wheel. My fight with the supplier and the freight company ended with our son finally getting his new wheel yayyyyy! The 4 new wheels are now attached and he is heading off this Friday for a 3 day rally in Coffs Harbour with 79 other Subaru Forresters. He is one happy young man. This proves.........you don't argue with a mother when her kids are concerned! Joodles....... hope the blood test and ultra sound go ok. Will be thinking of you. To all those not feeling the best keep taking plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest. Healing thoughts heading your way. To all the rest of you wonderful people........big hugs 'till I talk to you next time. Trifley.

Afternoon Wattlers. Luvley day in Melb. and a warm one. All this talk of fires, and heaters, Electric blankets is making me feel hot...lol We have the O/head fans on at the moment.....and still a few warm days heading our way. Just had a hairy ( Hair cut )...it was a freebie...:>)) so feel 10 years younger...................to bad the body dosen't correspond with the mind.....hee hee Nice to hear from Mary. Hope your well mate. Well, it appears we still have 10 starters for the Wattlelotto...and i have received everyones email......cept.. Gwenda's A few suggestions have been made, and i will have to re-fine a few things to make sure if we do hit the big one ( eventually ) we are not slugged by the heavy's ( Govt. ) and also a good idea, if we should happen to strike a 3rd divy of $1000 or better we take 10% out and buy 5 more tickets, then divy up the rest. Anyway.......I'm sure we will work out something and we can make it up as we go along. Give it a trial run first.....to see how we go, if that suits. Joodles. Hope all goes well for you to-morrow mate, with the blood test and ultra sound. Take care. x Anna. Enjoy ya curried sausages tonight....Yum When we have ours, we gotta sit with a cupla glasses of cold water........ha ha Both Barb and I have very hot & spicy taste buds. We are doing so well in the Commonwealth games. It must be so boring for other Countries to keep hearing our National anthem playing all day long.....LOL I'm surprised the early morning traffic is very quite at the moment around Melb, but then realised its School Holidays here in Melb, and many families may have headed out of Town. ( Not everyone likes sport i guess ) Lew lew. ...lol Sorry to use your name in the Lotto letter mate..hee hee but everytime i see your name on GR...i keep wanting to break into that song i play on Guitar. Singing: ( meant as a compliment ) You can bring Ted with a bottle of red, but don't bring Lew lew. You can bring Nell cos she's real swell , but dont bring Lew lew Lew lew always wants to do, what the..la... la....:>)) Well time for Tea. Chicken Kiev tonight.....with garlic.( drool ) Tomato, beetroot, taties, corn, peas,& beans. Ooops.....Sorry Joodles, you not allowed to eat to-night, so i might just have bread and water to sympathise with Joodles. ( cough ) Hi to everyone else. Tony Oz. :>)) ps. I will put our 1st Lotto on. ( to-morrow or thursday.) and send it off to all.

Hi all - Suzy-in-Qld - if anyone had heard from Laurie - it would have been me, and I havent had a peep. Apparently when I texted her to ring Honey Rum (twice) - and left a msg on here, - all I heard was that she wasnt using that cell phone any more and I think she said she'd been in touch with Honey Rum - tho HR says she didnt hear from her (maybe I got confused there) - Laurie said she'd be in touch on another cell - and I've heard nothing. I'm sure she'd be ok. She promised to leave me her itinerary, but in the rush, she forgot - so I dont know where she is at the moment. - anyway - no news is good news. Today I heard my ex mother in law (93) passed away in hospital in Perth - Sunday night I arrived home from my daughters father in law's funeral in NSW to learn that my cousins partner had died in Melbourne!!!! Where will it all end. My ex is suffering from severe depression (here in NSW) - so I sure dont know how he is going to handle things when he gets to Perth. Tony - me mate - got your email and understand perfectly!! Whoever mentioned putting a fire on at night - dare I mention that I put a cardigan on last night, and then had the elecky blanket on for a little while (previous night I'd had the fan on to keep cool!!!) I have to starve after midnight tonight - having a blood test in the morning iin my town, and then an ultra sound in another town 40 minutes away - which means I wont be able to eat till after 11am ..... poor me~ Jood
