Evening all Gee you lot have been busy waffling lol. Well, I am just popping on quickly as puta is still not 100%. We have virus checked it and there is no virus in the main hard drive, but we just cant access the secondary one or storage one, whatever you like to call it. We took it out of puta till we can work out what is wrong or get someone to look at it. The only thing is most of our programs were stored on that drive with just a shortcut to the main drive, which means we cant access any of those programs like word, all my family programs, and games programs. We do have the discs for those programs but we dont want to put them on the main drive as we would run out of room, if that makes sense. So at the moment we can get on puta, get on internet but apart from that not much else. So hi to all and I am going back to watch TV like I guess Tony and Lara would be doing also. Lara - re your Memory Stick that you stick in ya usb port - its just like another drive - so when you are saving something, instead of saving to Drive A or Drive C it will say removable disk (now you probably cant understand what I am saying) :-( Someone else can tell you about the Ged files as I havent done it. I think it was Wilson .... and Tony babes can tell ya how to save stuff on a CD I think, cant you Tony???? I can't put it into words! I should be so lucky to find some young firies lol Jood

Hi wattlers Freezing cold this morning here in the mountains, but a glorious day emerged - I guess when the sun goes down it will be cold again. Firstly Susan, someone told me they saved their file (from Legacy) to put on GR – I had a look – you export it to a GED file and then apparently you can put it on GR. Let me know how you get on – I’d hate to have to type mine out all manually. …… <ooops – I see Wilson has told you the same thing> ……. (sorry) Re the firies – first of all – down to business. It is advocated in the press to change your smoke detector batteries at daylight saving (March) – you might even see a reminder in the paper. Secondly – where are these muscly young firies?????? – I haven’t had any come to MY place! In fact I was disappointed with the two that changed my batteries lol Maybe I will get lucky this year. Memory sticks are great – but I prefer to use them to take from one computer to another (e.g. copy stuff from say, my daughters computer - pics of the grandkids ... to bring home and put on mine). I would tend to copy your history on to a CD (even “as well as” ) Just for heavens sake don’t lose your memory sticks – they are sooo small. I have two, and Im always panicking wondering where they are. Reb – you will stick out a mile in your pink scarf at Yarrawonga – please wear something else with it!!! Laurie – we are going to the fish’nchip restaurant across the road from the pub in Windsor and meeting at 11.00am – if you need more info (directions) – I will try and find out what street it is – its at the top of the mall. This fish’nchip place has won some awards, and the fish tastes like it has just been caught. Jood
