Watchit JulieCat.....................or I'll fizz all over you. lol!!! Question.........does anyone know what info can be found on an English marriage cert around 1836? I've found my GGG Grandparents marriage on British origins, and am hoping it might give the full name of brides parents. Jood, hope you've got the winning numbers Hon. The sooner I have money, the sooner I can move back to Melbourne. Well Victoria, still got dreams of my little cottage in the hinterlands somewhere along the Great Ocean Rd.

Was just reading on another thread. Gene Pitney died in Wales this morning. ( Cardiff ) I have every song/cd. available of his that came out, and he was my all time favourite singer, and went to many of his concerts in Oz. He was a great singer and a real gentleman, and i play his songs on my puter while i am on GR. Such a shame......God bless. Tony Oz.

Thanks Jood, thanks Tony. Now we just have to sit back and wait for Saturday. A genealogical question. .... I am chasing a great uncle, I have him placed in Adelaide in about 1896. Then we lose track of him. I found a death for a person of the same name in NSW - the death certificate says that he was a station hand at a property near Booligal, NSW - not all that far away from SA. No details of his past life - not even his age - were known by the informant on the death certificate. If it is him, he would have been 66 when he died from a heart attack which is feasible. Now - can anyone suggest how I might be able to fill in those missing years - when were the census records taken in SA and NSW. Would there be electoral rolls for that period in those states. Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted. Have a good evening all Anna

Afternoon, Had to read 4 pages of messages in 2 sittings today. A big storm came thro and puta went off, just for a second, but decided it was a warning so switch off. The storm has now passed but it hasn't cooleed down any. Still very humid. At least our tanks are full. Rang Telstra today, as I was told to, to order broadband, only to be told it would be this month sometime and to keep ringing. Wish they would make up their minds, First they said 23 March, then 31st and now April sometime. It's very frustrating. I am waiting until I have broadband to attempt to import my family tree to BR. Everything take a long time to do on dial up. I have been reading my Legacy user's guide and think I will be able to do it. Will take a look at the memory sticks, they sound to be something I could make use of. Sue, congratulations, you will feel like a new woman. Also, pleased that your puta is going to be okay. Lew lew, you won't know yourself, every thing will nice and clean and new. I think I will have to get the paint out because we won't be moving for a while, unless our numbers come up. I am not hanging about for long because I think that I can hear some distant thunder I hope every one is well Bye for now SuzyQ

Afternoon all, I dont know what your going on about . . . the weather here is fantastic. Lovely sunny day with a light breeze, got a little sunburnt this morning on my walk (Rays fault he didn't go to work till late so I was out later than normal) As I look out my window I see a young family swimming and playing on the beach - building sandcastles. There are two giraffes with their heads up - having a break after the last couple of days. The ship that was tied up over at Kernell has just left the harbour, and there are about thirty small boats out there near the heads, fishing. Some idiot upstairs is drilling and its vibrating thru the building . . . There are four sailboards over near the airport way, and three jet skis playing just off shore in front of me. And now those idiots are hammering . . . . . and drilling . . . . (obiously more than one idiot) It always astounds me that the water in the bay and the beaches are so clean, despite the activity. I have had a busy day FH wise, got heaps of messages going to and fro Denmark, think were getting somewhere - have ordered 2 certs to make sure were on the right track. Hi Gwenda, glad you had a good family gathering - good luck with your contribution to the book Well done devly, and I hope the weather hold off for the school camp - and bonus to get the info off the puter, at least you have it all. No pressure on our Joodles, what will be, will be . . . no worrying girl its not up to the individual - its the luck of the draw! Anna, what town are you haveing your Easter bonanza in ?? The locals had better watch out! Catch you all later going to sit in the sun - while I can with a cuppa cheers luv Laurie

Arvo Wokkles. Haven't been around on the boards last few days much, as i been working up near Geelong, and going backwards and forwards, as been a busy boy earning lots'a dollars for up coming trip to the U.K. So up early and home late, and only time to answer a few Emails before crashing on the pillow. Just got home and sitting eating a Chocolate mud cake and thick cream.. ( me favourite )....:>)) Havent had time to read all the threads,( to many ) but might copy and paste e'm into a book, and read them in bed to-night....lol Very windy and O/cast in Melb, and they tell us we surpose to get hail later on. A little joke: Hung Chow calls into work and says, 'Hey, I no come work today. I really sick. Got headache, stomach ache and legs hurt. I no come work.' The boss says, 'You know something, Hung Chow, I really need you today. When I feel like this, I go to my wife and tell her to give me sex. That makes everything better and I go to work. You try that.' Two hours later Hung Chow calls again. 'I do what you say and I feel great. I be at work soon......... also,...You got nice house.' Av a good un. Tony Oz..:>))
