Morning Kids! Back in the office and have access to the net. Telstra finally decided to send out a technican (which I have been telling them to do since Sunday!!!!!!!!!), so should have internet at home by tomorrow, hooray. I need to keep online, otherwise it takes me half a day to catch up on this thread. House is slowly coming together. The handyman is there today putting together all the flatpacked furniture and some other guy just turned up to seal the fishpond. Cable Guy and Antenna Guy were there until 6.30 last night and now we're wired for sound (and every other contraption known to man). Received the Winning Lotto numbers thanks Jood (& Tony). Will be in Sydney on Saturday night, so will be in a position to party! Found 2 boxes of my Family Tree research and can't wait to unpack it. Will try and chat again soon. *waves and blows kisses to all* Lew Lew xxx

You know what they say Vonny, be kind to small creatures, children and idiots. So................................... I'm kind to the small creature-Meercat, and in return she's kind to the idiot- me!!! :-pp Lol Jood. If I wanted to be fit for Y'wonga I left it waaaaaay to late to start. Nothing short of surgery is going to shift this lot. Truth is I aggravated an old netball knee injury the other week which stopped me playing a few years back. Only way to fix it is to get off my ample backside and work to strengthen the muscles, hence the weight work. The leg extensions on the bench should do the trick. And once you get started, it's easy to get enthusiatic...............and over do it, as my shoulders are telling me today. lol!!

Hello all Thanks Lols for your wishes that Shazz & I have a good lunch. Sorry you can't be with us - but hope your Drs appointment goes well. Shazz & I and her mate Pat are having fish'nchips at Windsor - miles from the ocean, but the fish tastes like it has just been caught. This place has won numerous awards for their fish'n chips - my mouth is watering at the thought of it. Trifley, so sorry to hear about your Sciatica - will you get some treatment of some kind - acupuncture, osteo, chiropractic???? Rebs - are you getting your smile repaired before Yarrawonga, or are these bills for your daughters smile?? uhmmmm were you also trying to get fit before Yarra??? I would have had to start two years ago !! Have a great day everyone Jood

Morning Folk!! On here early today, pay in the bank so get the bills paid and out of the way. Be glad when the girls orthodantic work is over, takes huge chunks out of the bank account. :-(( Laurie babe, is it your son who's bought a house in Brighton? We lived up the Eventide end for 13 years, 2 min away from the water, then moved away for a year before another 18 months in Seaview St. Now of course we are just on the other side of the bridge. Know how you feel about the damn Nissans. Son no 2 has a Skyline sitting in the backyard. (ours of course, not his) It's never been on the road since he had it. Now he's driving a Silvia. -spelling??? Way too powerful for a 19 year old to be driving. My old man used to listen to Gene Pitney. Unfortunately he thought he could sing like him as well. Guess what.....................he couldn't!!! Poor Trifley..........a friend suffers from the same thing, althought his is lower back. He says lying on the floor with legs up on a chair a right angles often helps. As does a wheat bag nuked in the microwave on the effected area. Hope you feel better soon. Off for some brekky, catch up later. love Rebs x

Good evening one and all - yes most sad the death of Gene - 'The man who shot Libe .. . . . . ' I too Tony have always been a big fan and play his music often 'Only 24 hrs fro. . . ' We were so lucky to grow up with such great music weren't we. 'In the eyes of the world . . . ' I only went to one concert of his here in Sydney in the 70's, and it was wonderful. 'Just one smile to make my life worth living . . . ' Rest in Peace Gene Pitney and thank you! We have been sitting out on the balcony all night, feels like a summers night. Had the BBQ in action and candles fluttering away, Ray needed a wind down after the big drive north and back not to mention the meetings in the middle. Well tomorrow is the big day for youngest son, takes the keys to his new home . . . Yipppeeee he moves out of my home soon ! ! ! ! Just making it out the door before he turne 28. He rang tonight with even better news he is selling his car ! ! ! He drives one of those high powered turbo charged Nissans that so many young folk have died driving too fast and I have always silently prayed for him to grow out of it - well finally a morgage and high petrol costs have forced the issue and its going (thank you Lord) - thats on top of another prayer answered when the motorbike went a few months ago. Poor trifely, not nice is it - I can usually get some relief with stretching exercises - rolling up in a ball with knees under my chin works well for me most times - in fact I do the stretches every morning before I get out of bed - its such a deep hurty pain I will do anything to avoid it. Well its off to bed with me catch you all later - have a great lunch Shaz & Joodles . . . cheers luv Laurie

Hi Wafflers Have developed a bugger of a case of sciatica. Pain down back of left leg. It happens every now & then and usually goes away in a few days but it makes sitting at the puta a pain. But the way it (puta) has been playing up today I could do with a while away from it anyway. Devily....glad to hear you have been able to access your hard drive. It would be heart breaking to loose all that work. Mark wants to know how old your puta is? (nosey little bugger) Hi Meercat.......which side of the planet do you hale from? A friendly wave to you. Heading off to bed shortly with a hot wheat bag on my back. Not that I need too much heat........the temp & humidity have been awful today. Hugs and a ~~~wave to everyone. love Trifley Queen of the Nile (As she limps off draging one leg)

Rebs. All the marriage certs i have from 1840 to 1864 ( my G, Grandparents ) only show Fathers name and Surname......of both couple........ I might be wrong...but dont think they mention mum's name mate on marriage cert. before then ( unless she was a Witness) I may be wrong ( and stand corrected ) but i have 12 marriage certs 1840 to 1864 and no mention of Mum's name. Thanks Babs. 1 year too early then. I doubt if parish records gave the names of parents. I'm staying clear of the boards apart from this thread for the moment so I guess it will have to wait. :-((

Borobabs Report 5 Apr 2006 12:13

Rebs;; Certs didnt start till 1837 so you would need Parish records;; Your best bet would be to ask on tips board if anyone has disc of them for the area you want, give as much info as you can, and Im sure you will get help; Babs
