Hi Joy - at first I thought you meant Katoomba, in the blue mountains, but there is no St Patricks church there. I've not heard of Kalumba - any more information? Jood |

Evening All. Sat down to a nice mixed Grill for tea. Cutlets,Chips, Eggs,Tomatoes( home grown of course )...Peas,Beans,Carrots,Corn and a nice bottle of Riccadona.( burp...scuse )..:>)) Hi Julie. Have a nice day mate. Hi. Cousin Joy.....:>)) Sorry, i don't live in N.S.W so cant help mate. Don't know of a Kalumba?....... Maybe someone in N.S.W can help. Rebs. Loved the joke mate...LOL Does anyone watch the 'Antiques Road'show, its on channel 9 ( in Vic. )at 5:00... Its amazing some of the stuff peeps bring along for valuation, that they've had lying around the house, or handed down from Relo to Relo. A lady was on tonight with a chest of draws dated 1750s and in good nick. She was told to insure it for $170,000 ( Ozzie bucks ). The look on some peoples faces is worth seeing, as there Jaw drops wide open and you can see the cash register light up in their eyes ..$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ *ching*.......:>)))) The show is British, and can normally be seen on Foxtel or Optus, but lately on Channel nine. Being a bit of an Antique collector and all sorts of memorabilia myself, i enjoy this show, and now tape it. Well only 10 weeks to go, and we are also up,up,and awayyyyy. Singapore,Scotland, Paris, London. In Scotland we are only visiting two places now, Edinburgh and Fort William ( and everything in between ) as we only have 6 days here, so will be going through Perth,Creiff, and Stirling ( if anyone wants a Piccie? ) and possibly a day trip to Inverness ( pending ) In London we are staying in the West end ( Bloomsbury ) and using public transport to get around. Have a nice day tomorrow folks. Tony Oz......:>)) Ps. Like the add says:....Wattyl on Australia...lol |

Hi all Yes, Mary, its been a bit dry of late hasnt it? Lew Lew - you visited my old stamping ground (or shopping ground, I should say - Chatswood) - and Cammeray - I loved the Japanese shops there, the supermarket, not that I could understand what the labels said! Good few years since I have been there. You certainly did well on your shopping spree. You're a lucky girl Miss Jude2 (Travel Addict) - I think you're wearing the crown now - you have travelled even more than our Laurie. Glad you are still legally a member Vonny - we'd have missed you! Evening All. Just back from Sydney, phew! Arrived 5.30pm Saturday afternoon. Just enough time to change into party clothes, then off to meet friends for dinner at the Casino - Astral Restaurant is brilliant! Sunday morning shopping in Chatswood where we found doona cover, doona, sheets, cushions - everything! Then to a friends place for lunch at Cammeray. Jumped in the car this morning and now we're home. Had a great time and all the linen was 30% off! Gotta be happy about that. Back to work tomorrow. Love to you all. Can't chat for long as my computer's still not online (buggar!) Have to share with Hubby. Sorry we didn't win Lotto, but we must be saving ourselves for something real big. Lew Lew :-)))))) xxx |

Afternoon all I hope everyone is well, I have read messages but I am running blind as I havent got word up and running again on puta as yet. Hows the head Tony ???? Hope its hurting lol. Anyway now that I have said that hopefully you will answer a question for us. Pretty please. When we come to Melb we are thinking on stopping at a shop on the way, but didnt want to go too far off our route or stop in the city. What we want to know is does Dandenong have Big W, or Kmart, or something along those lines, as it is not far off the highway as we will be coming under the tunnel (cant think what they call it) We was thinking on maybe getting a couple of easter eggs and maybe a cheap DVD player if we can find one for Davids parents. As for putas well our puta is back up and running, but not before we had to wipe everything and start from scratch, but at least I saved all my family history stuff, we didnt save our favourites folder so the only links we have are the ones that are on the other puta, but I dont get on there much as it is sooo slow, so if anyone knows any must have links can you forward them please. I know Tony has his list on this site so I can look at them, its just if anyone has any different, only need links with UK though. Well not much else is news here, we have a cool cloudy day today, heaters on, expecting rain tomorrow. Well must go and do a bit more with this puta, reloading programs etc etc. Cheers Sue |

Good morning all . . . lovely sunny day on Botany Bay. We had a glorious sunrise this moring, a little cloud cover to make it all more mysterious, and the planes coming in to land through it - all looked bewdiful. I don't believe what I see at the moment there are 11 - yes 11 giraffes with their heads in the sky. Boy things must be slack on the wharves today - and the moorings are empty over at Kernell too. Will have to find jobs to do on the balcony this afternoon to keep my eye on ship movements. Think we might have to think of something other than the old rain dance . . . they dont seem to be working. Strange the weather paterns, one lot of my family have finished putting their crops in - the others are like you Wilson . . . waiting, waiting - strange peeps you farmers, waiting in anticipation for the rain so you can spend your days and nights going round and round and round and round !!!! Oh fellow travel addict, have a wonderful week in old London Town - I have a lot of the morning sorting some of my photos onto disc, (still heaps to do) reliving all the wonderful places we went . . . at least it will be a little warmer for you . . . enjoy! (Do tell where you will be going what you will be doing) OK so I have taken Judy and Tony off my mailing list - anyone else just let me know! I do delete the chain thingys, (well I hope they disappear cause thats my intention) before I send anything on that may give a smile or a chuckle - and all the previous fwd addys, mind you I only send on a small fraction of what I receive my garbage bin gets a good meal most days. I admitt - I have some weird rellies. I'm off to Office Works to see if they have any folders big enough to store my copies of the ships logs we got at Kew - then I will have to find a spot to keep them flat. It was great that Ray was able to photograph them as well - my back up. I always dread going to those stores - come away with more than I went for. Glad to say I am not the only one, Ray tends to be the same. Lots of useless good stuff in the desk drawers. Have a great Monday all - catch you later cheers luv Laurie |

I did some gardening yesterday as well, must be the sunny weather bringing out all the gardeners.. I shifted a palm tree out of the fernery..........can someone remind me what a big job that is next time i get the urge to move trees? lol. Ok all i am off to a course for work, hope the guy running it doesn't ask so many questions this morning....he really puts you on the spot, and i don't want to look too dumb infront of the others, and i have not done my home work.....feel like a kid at school. Then i go straight to work from there, makes a long day, i won't be home until about 10.30 this evening.....feeling tired just writing about it lol. Have a great day all take care Wilson |

Evening all, cooling off a bit here tonight - think it must be about 17deg. We had a lovely drive around the beaches today - went and watched the big surf . . . massive! Needed the spray jacket as the water was splashing way up the cliff face. We had a walk along the cliff walkway north of Coggee, and watched the brave idiots surfing. The jet skis would drag them out into the path of the wave and then collect them and take them out for another go. You could tell they knew the area - where to go and where not to go - but glad it was them not me. There were so many using the walkways - lovely to see. I'm feeling a tad smug - have reunited a family today. A guy in Dundee and the family of his gt uncle in Carringbah. Only took three phone calls - picked at random of a very common name - I gave them one anothers email addys and phone numbers and just had a call back from the lady in Carringbah to say that they have spent two hours catching up on msn. Hope you all have a lovely day tomorrow whatever you may be up to Take care cheers luv Laurie PS I gather from the message on the other Boards that our Tony has had some success with detective work also. . . well done Sherlock |
