Ay Lassie, glad to hear about the Scottish connection. Remember, I'm a Richardson and the whole side of the father's is pure Scot! Clan Ogilivy, in fact. Lew Lew x

Och, laddies and lassies. slight change to the new name. I've been given a wee bit on honorary MacScottish. Had to fight to prove I had a wee bit 'o the haggis flowing through my veins but.. That Jilly is a hard one at times. McRebs x

Don't be sad, Rebs. Me not going either. You and I can take over the thread that weekend and, then, the world! I've been waiting for that darn barge to call ashore and pick me up, but me thinks Trifley's head is not up to it! Lew x

Gee, where is everyone today. Trifley is probably buried under a pile of cushions in a bollo induced stupor on her barge, so she's accounted for. Guess the rest are all getting ready for the big weekend. sniff, sniff :-((( *waves to Sandra, Laurie and Lew...the only signs of live human habitation on the wattle thread.*

G'day everyone, I have been trying to catch up on a lot of posts but think I will give it up as a bad job. Thank you for your good wishes and emails. It's amazing what you find out when you go as a tourist somewhere, I was born in Uk and went back many times but never knew about the underground city in Edinburgh, plus many more places I have never been to. Congratulations Joodles on the birth of your grandson, mine were in reverse all boys before the girls came along. Perfect blue sky in the Gong but oh I wish we would get rain. Now I am feeling more my old self I have lots to catch up on, Have a nice day what ever you are doing cheers Sandra in the Gong

Morning Folk!! Bit chilly here this morning too Jood. I've even pulled a jacket out of summer hibernation. *waves to JulieCat* Saw all the havoc you and Jilly caused on the boards. Loved you hair description, sounds like mine. Lots of rellies from your area. More than I thought. Always knew the Birches and Pownalls were Cheshire born (with a scattering in Liverpool) but now I've been able to find a lot of the marriages the name list is expanding. And I've discovered a London based family moved to Liverpool as well. Who do you have in your family? Maybe we are related. pmsl!!! (god help us) Jood, LewLew, thank you. I like my knew name this time. Although I've been told it's too sweet for the naughty corner. :-((( Just before I get my coffee refill, here you go Mary........... A little boy from a non-religious family got on the bus, sat next to a man reading a book, and noticed he had his collar on backwards. The little boy asked why he wore his collar That way. The man, who was a priest, said, 'I am a Father.' The little boy replied, 'My Daddy doesn't wear his collar like that.' The priest looked up from his book and answered, 'I am the Father of many.' The boy said, 'My Dad has 4 boys, 4 girls and two grandchildren and he doesn't wear his collar that way.' The priest, getting impatient, said, 'I am the Father of hundreds' and went back to reading his book. The little boy sat quietly thinking for a while, then leaned over and said, 'Maybe you should wear your pants backwards instead of your collar' cheers folk :-)))

Good morning all Me ................ a country girl? ..... Never - but I define myself as a mountain girl (the saying goes, mountain girls love mounting ooops mountain men! pmsl).... seriously tho - the longer I have lived away from Sydney, the more I do love it . I adore the bush, be it dry or green. I have a healthy respect for nature. Travelling all around Australia like I have has given me a new perspective on the whole country. It is soooo diversified. .................... Oh sorry, I was waffling on again there - reliving my camping days! Brrrrrr ........... very brisk here today, sun is late coming up (tho its only 7.30) .................. A nice hot shower will get me moving again. Have a great day all. Rebs - love your new name. I wouldnt be game to change mine! ............. I'd never live it down. Jood

Cheeky Julie Cat! That is not how we all got here! Some of us are from respectable stock, lol. Love the new name Rebs, most suitable. Seems like you and Trifley were busy on the barge last night. Have ya had any sleep? Oooo Tony, you and your blasted tattie cakes! With lots of salt and vinegar, yummy. Hey, can ya have 'em for breakfast? Jude TA, what a great trip. Loved the Edinburgh info. Must go there next time. Have you been to the Cabinet War Rooms in London, brilliant. That's were Churchill ran the war from and it's all underground. And Paris - fantastic! More shops in Dubbo, Laurie. Bathurst doesn't even have Myer any more! Dubbo is a much bigger central hub town, so gets all the shops, but, unfortunately, not any nice rugs or mats, so it's back to Sydney. Terry have done some net research and has found a few good places. Well, it's only 67 sleeps, or 9 Fridays, until R Day (but who's counting - I AM) Hope you all have a wonderful day. Hello to everybody (there's too many to remember now) Lew Lew xxx Glad to hear you're feeling better Sandra. We did wonder where you'd disappeared to. Thought you must have snuck into Travel Addict's suitcase! ((hugs)) Your Canberra trip sounded great, Jood. Ahh, worried about the traffic, you are a country girl aren't you!

Morning Wattlers, Trifley - you're far too organised for your own good - lol Maybe before I head to Yarrawonga I might manage to tidy my mess into something a bit more manageable - just in case the kids do burn the house down while we're away. Joodles - glad you had a good time at the weekend. Yes, Cockington Green is amazing and the kids would really enjoy it. Did you have a train ride? Goulburn could really do with us all doing a rain dance - they have been on stage 5 restrictions for ages and now their dam is effectively empty. Tony - after the episode with the phone bill I'm amazed your little girl is allowed to watch BB - you should have made her watch Rolf Harris painting the Queen - pmsl. Actually it was very interesting and I'm amazed that all that slopping of paint on the canvas at the beginning is actually turning into a darn good portrait - you can see I have no artistic talent whatsoever - if I did the same it would be one huge b****y mess. Best get a move on, seems warmer this morning. Trip to the hairdresser and maybe some retail therapy this morning - and I don't even enjoy shopping - lol Have a great day peeps, catch y'all this arvo. Gwenda

Hi everyone :-) Finally caught up with you all lol............well actually caught up with you the other night but was too tired to add then came on again and you had all waffled some more so it was catch up time yet again lol and boy can you waffle pmsl ;-)......keep it up :-) Tuesday before Easter weekend took Jess to watch Ice Age 2............ loved it.........was busy after that doing some of that dreaded h*ousew*rk thingy *shudders*........Jilly was staying for the weekend.......she arrived Friday and left Monday, we had a great time :-)))))))))....lots of drink and very little sleep lol..........some of you may have noticed that we monopolised the boards Friday night (your Sat am lol).........on Saturday night we treated our neighbours to a karaoke with Stel, who kindly provided the machine, ah well I'm sure they enjoyed it really :-)))). Spent most of Monday (after Jill left)recovering lol. Since then been spending some of the rest of the holiday with the kids, pretty quiet really. Rebs from what you've said sounds like most of your ancestors come from near where I live..........as for your daughter and her curls I wish my hair would do one or the other. It does what it wants and kinks too :-(((. If I leave it to dry naturally it looks like I've been dragged through several hedges backwards lol. Lew re the lottery it's ok I forgive you pmsl ;-) Trifley your singing may sound better when you're drunk so does mine and I still can't sing for toffee lmho :-) As for anyone who can't find a convict in their tree.........isn't that how all your ancestors got there in the first place lolol ;-ppp Going now before anyone can start throwing things lol *waves to all and exits hastily* :-)))))))))))))))))) Juliexx

lol Trifley, been doing lots of research for my Cheshire rellies. Laurie suggested something with Cheshire Cat in it for a name, but Tina bagged that one long ago, but since the Cheshire cat was in Wonderland.......I decided on Rebeland. At least peeps will know it's me. lol!!

Rudes, my condolences mate. Fancy having to sit through BB. I watch the first episode of series 1, and haven't bothered with it since. What a load of 'waste product'. Big news. I've found my first official Fanny!!!!! Fanny Lightfoot. Lots of new names thanks to this Cheshire Site. Lightfoot, Davies, Edwards, Waring........love it when you're on a roll.

Poor Laurie, having to walk around the camping show lol. Once I would have liked doing that, but not any more. You mentioned Goulburn being dry - it sure is, and anything and everything between there and Canberra. Mind you the important parts of Canberra are absolutely beautifully green, but for the main part it is sadly dry. I was amazed how much bush there was around ACT .... still, after all these years. We saw the scaffolding all set up in readiness for the Dawn Service on Tuesday. Canberra had sooo much traffic, I couldnt believe it, but JA assures me its because of tourists, in town for Anzac Day, also that its school holidays. btw I went to the film archives, at first I thought it was going to be boring, but I thoroughly enjoyed the 1 hour we spent sitting down watching excerpts from different movies ...... very cleverly put together. Cockington Green is very spectacular, and a fun place to take the kids, Im emailing my daughter with the website ........... told her the girls would love to go there ! (from Bendigo) I can well and truly identify with you Laurie about a non-existent filing system. I have to have papers close to me and even then I cant find what I want when I want!!!! Off to bed now all, Jood
