Mary - I was a little shocked when you mentioned how common Cooks are in Australia - I would really prefer not to be associated with anyone who could be described as 'common'. And Forever Hunting - thankyou so much for your explanation of how to google. How quaint. I remember when I was just a girl, there was a little rhyme we used to learn from our governess - 'Barney Google With his goo - goo - googly eyes.' LB Not a prob I try to help where I can. Google is a way you can find things on the net, open an internet explorer and you should have a spot where you can type in what you are looking for with the word Goole near it then it will come up with web addresses you can go to, I hope I explained it well as I am not much good in describing things. Dear Forever Hunting Most decent of you to reply to my enquiry. This Cook's Cottage you speak of sounds most fascinating - but 'google' - I'm afraid I am not familiar with this googling procedure. Perhaps you would be kind enough to explain. I am having difficulty keeping up with technology I'm afraid and I rather suspect this googling may be a technological term. LB

I believe if you go to www*cook* etc... you will find lots of them.. very common name in this country ,, just about everyone on here has one and at times I think I am one too.. Must stay out of the kitchen... Good luck with your search... Maryxx

Good Morning Wattlers, damp and miserable in Melbourne today, hopefully it will clear up enough to get in the garden later. Just cause I went to bed with a headache last night was no reason to totally confuse me this morning. My comp tells me I've spoken to the newbies before but I can figure out who is who. LB Hello we havent spoke yet, so to speak. Have you checked out passenger lists for you cousin Cook, you may find him in there. I do believe somewhere in the back of my mind when I was at school a long time ago, in history class I remember something about a cottage in a park in Melbourne, if my memory serves me right and I think that was called Cooks Cottage, may be worth googling to see what you come up with. A fine upstanding gentleman who was in shipping - his name was Cook. I wonder if any of you dear people could suggest where I might find details about my dear cousin who I regard as something of a brick wall. Now, you be kind to each other. Hi Lew, Mary and other newcomers. Mary, I re-dialled 101 to get that bawdy message again this morning - still no idea who it was. If it WAS Lara, then it sounded like a male - Tony??? calling out numbers .... lotto? whatever whoever it was, they all sounded pretty merry. I could have been put through to the number, but thought they might still be sleeping, so will give it a go about 11.00am. I'm really curious now!! .. the person kept saying 'I can't hear you I can't hear you, I'll call back later' - well if they told whoever was in the background to shuddup .............. silly part was, I wasnt there anyway. I heard the phone ring, but was in the car. .... All will be revealed in due course I guess. Some party ! psml Jood

Hi Mary and hi to everyone else *waves* No, only one Baileys, but I was a bit tired (been out earlier in the evening) Im off to Forster tomorrow (Sunday), have a bit to do today, but will get back before I leave. There are a few newbies on I notice, otherwise its been a bit quiet. I will replay that phone message this morning and see if I can make head or tail of it. I thought I'd reckognize Lara's voice, it certainly wasnt Laurie. But then Lara doesnt have my mobile phone number ?????? Will get back later after I've done a few chores.
