Evening all. Thanks Lara, i have put the last piccie on the GC Photo page. I was a bit worried about adding it, as i didnt want the Wattlers to see what really happened at the meet, regarding you know whom. I hope you were able to clean your pool out, after the debarcle, and Mike was able to get all the Wine bottles off the bottom of the pool, that you know whom.......was spilling grog and was totally out of control. I did try soft music to coherse......you know whom out of the pool, but the Liqour had taken over, and i could see it was a lost cause. ( shame ) GO the Cats.......:>)) Tony Oz....:>))

Evening Wattlers Well we had a cool day but no rain to speak of, must have gone north to Melbourne. The news is terrible about poor Sophie and what she and her family have already gone through and now this, my prayers and positive thoughts are with them at this stage. Lara I went and saw the pics that Tony put on GC photopage, starting to put faces to the names that I didnt already know. Yes the 2 miners are definately comedians. As the saying goes if you dont laugh you will cry, so at least they are keeping positive and that will get them through, maybe not so they can go to the footy this weekend like they wanted to but god willing and everything going well they should be out by Sunday, unless they strike a problem. Fingers, toes and everything else is crossed for their safe escape from their 2 star hotel pmsl. I hope when they get out that they totally snub the media and leave without saying anything and the families follow, then when they are ready to speak they can pick who and when to say anything. I know the media are a neccessary evil but when you hear stories of some of them trying to bribe workers to try and get a camera down the mine to get a scoop on the rescue, makes your blood boil, along with all the other harrasment of the poor families, as if they dont have enough to contend with. Anyway I will get of my soapbox and go back to watching the footy, at the moment Jude 2 should be happy, but they need to keep going or the cats wont be singing tonight. Cheers Sue

Loved this and thought you all might like to see it There's been a change in Grandma , we've noticed her of late . She's always reading history or jotting down some dates She's tracking down the family , We'll all have pedigrees . Oh see Grandma's got a hobby-she's climbing the family tree , Poor Grandpa does the cooking , and now or so he states , That the worst of all , he has to wash the cups and dinner plates . Grandma can't be bothered , she's as busy as a bee , Compiling Genealogy for the Family Tree. She has no time to baby sit the curtains are a fright, No buttons left on Grandpa's shirt , The flower bed's a site She's given up her club work and the soapies on TV, The only thing she does now days is climb the Family Tree. She goes down to the courthouse and studies ancient lore, We know more about our forebearers than we ever did before. The books are old and dusty they make poor Grandma sneeze. A minor irration when you're climbing the family tree, The mail is all for Grandma it comes from near and far. Last week she got the proof she needs to join the PPP , A monumental achievemant you would all agree, All achieved from climbing the blessed Family Tree. Now some folks came from Scotland some from Galway Bay , some were French as pastry, some german all the way , some went west to stake their claims , Some stayed there by the sea Grandma hopes to find them all ,as she climbs the Family Tree She wanders through the graveyard in search of date and name the rich the poor, the inbetween , all sleeping there the same. She pauses now and then to rest, fanned by a gentle breeze, That blows above the fathers of all our Family Trees There are pioneers and patriots, mixed in our kith and kin who blazed the path of wilderness and fought through thick and thin But none more staunch than Grandma whose eyes light up with glee, Each time she finds a new branch for the Family Tree Their skills were wide and varied from carpenter to cook, And one , alas the records show was hopelessly a crook, Blacksmith ,Weaver , Farmer , Judge , -some tutored for a fee Once lost in Time ,now all recorded on the Family Tree To some it's just a hobby ,To Grandma its much more she learns the joys and heartaches of those that went before . They loved, they lost ,they laughed, they wept -and now for you and me they live again in spirit around the Family Tree At last she's nearly finished and we are each exposed, Life will be the same again is what we all suppose Grandma will cook, and sew, serve cookies with our tea, we'll all be fat , just as before the wretched Family Tree. Sad to relate the preacher called and visited for a spell . We talked about the gospel and other things as well. The heathen folk, the poor and then -t'was fate it had to be Somehow the conversation turned to to Grandma and the Family Tree. He never knew his Grandpa his mothers name was.... Clark? He and Grandma talked and talked , outside it grew quite dark. We'd hoped our fears were groundless , but just like some disease , Grandma's become an addict - she's hooked on Family Trees Our souls are filled with sorrow , our hearts are sad with dismay . Omg just got the news on the TV re Autralia's bravest little girl Sophie the little girl who was burnt when the car went thru the kinder wall, was hit in her pusher on a pedestrian crossing and the ba**stard didn't stop she is serious and has head injuries and broken leg and other injuries,what has this poor little soul go to go through before she gets to live happily ever after My prayers for her and her parents and family . We did this once when Mark was in Noo York. We found a web cam in Times square, told him where to go and we could see him as he waved. It was great! Trifley
