Cinderebel yes I hate facial hair whether it is nicely trimmed, rough or undescribable like the 'ferret' or whatever it is. Im so bad with beards I never had a piccy taken with Santa and when I was in Hospital for my heart ops when I was young, one of the doctors had a beard and he could get nowhere near me or I would scream the place down, so he had to stand out in the passage and get a nurse to check the things he wanted to know about. I have never been with anyone with a beard, althought I dont scream at a man with a beard now lol. Cheers Sue |

lol Devly!!! wouldn't that be nice. If he gets a week off courtesy of the tribunal, perhaps he will use his spare time to fix his hair and get a decent shave. I'm not a huge fan of facial hair, but some fellas prefer a beard, and that's fine. But if guys choose to have one, at least let it be a decent one and not something that resembles a moth eaten ferret on the end of your chin. Ok, so I'm being picky, but the guy is such a w*nker on and off the field he makes himself an easy target. |

Must have thought I was in Korea Jood :) It's much bettter to be older there, commands more respect. Actually, the Koreans count the time in the womb as one year. They don't put their age up till their New Year when everyone does it. So a baby born in Dec is one year at birth and two years old on New Years Day! Caused me a bit of confusion when I first began teaching but now I always ask for passport age! (they abide by International dates for passports) I thought it would cause confusion when starting school but it doesn't. They just start between 5 years and 8 years depending on time elapsed! Works for them. Other cultures are so interesting. We have just started a 1000 piece jigsaw so that should keep us quiet for a while. ~~~~~~~~~Vonny ps its cold and wet down here at the mo. |

I was about to say it was Richard Carleton ....... though I must admit when I first heard the name Carleton I thought it was Mike. Wow! ........ went outside a while ago to empty the tea pot ..... and its blowing a gale, but not only that - it feels icy - wouldnt be surprised if there was snow somewhere (not here tho) .... I'd say your Claret Ash leaves have been blown to kingdom come Lew. Think what you just said Vonny - would you like to be a year older on 19th than you were on the 5th? lol .... Not meee!!! ... One a year is enough. Yes Anna, I did get two nurses, and even fed Lucas for a little while - such a dear little pet he is, .... and sooo little. ... Of course I took some more pics. .. I was amazed how he was holding his head up at 3 weeks looking around. .. He will see his two little girl cousins next week (6 & 7) who are anxiously awaiting his arrival in Bendigo. Jood |

Hi Sue, I'm in adelaide. Sorry don't follow football closely. Like to watch the Crows & Port sometimes though. Hope the rain stays away for a bit our roof leaked and we cant find where it's coming from. Think hubby is ready to silicon the whole roof in frustration. Peta |

Hi Cinderebel, at least you dont have to put up with rudees at home. David is letting me know in no uncertain terms that the Roos beat the Hawks, with help from an ex Hawk, and that hurts the most. I think we must have done the same as your team or forgot to come out and play after half time. Hello Peta, not sure what part of the woods you are from, but it is cold and wet over here too. Cheers Sue |

Hi All, Back on here again. Seems I have only been able to read posts & I have to get of the computer again. Managed to kick kids of long enough to do something today. Such a pity & a shock about Richard Carlton. What with little Sophie's battle again it hasn't been a good week for happy news. Lets hope the one bright light will still shine & they get the miners out safely. It's been chucking it down here. Even had hail this morning but not much. the heater has been going full bore trying to get the washing dry. Finally got some blue sky, temp still cold though. Back later peta |

Evening from a grumpy devil, not talking footy are we Rebs? So sad to hear about Richard Carleton, now they are saying that the miner will more than likely spend another night underground. The family of Larry Knight had his funeral postponed til this Tuesday so that Todd Russell and Brant Webb can go to the service, thinking that would give the rescuers plenty of time to get them out, but now they are going to cut it fine as they expect them to stay in hospital for maybe 24 hours once they are released. I also have many ag labs and proud of it. My mum was born on a farm one of 5 girls and they all could cut hay, drive tractors, trap rabbits, help in calving and anything else that was needed to be done on the farm, they also had a 5 mile walk to school each day. Yes even I can say while spending time on the farm I have put a ferret down a rabbit hole to catch a rabbit for the evenings meal, milked a cow, even by hand, and caught a chook so Pop could cut his head off then I would help scauld, pluck, and clean ready to eat, I did also help catch geese ready for killing, but didnt like them as much as the wing hurt when they wrapped you over the knuckles when you missed grabbling them. I also walked beside thr tractor and threw bales of hay onto the trailer when it was hay bailing time. My grandparents and also their ancestors would as Tony mentioned helped their neighbours when it was haybailing or if crops needed sowing or a shed needed replacing along with may other things. Well it is tea time will catch you all after. Cheers Sue |
