Hi everyone :-) Anyone want a kitten???? Little brat (I called him worse last night trust me) got out last night and wouldn't come back in. We haven't let him out before as he's still a bit too little and our last kitten got run over when she got out so we've been playing it safe. I tried catching him but the little brat slipped under the fence at the side of the garden where I couldn't follow him. I sat up for an extra hour before going to bed with the front door open but he still didn't come in. Taz one of our others who usually stays out did so I locked up and went to bed. Then he decided he wanted to go out again an hour later, I let him out and Salem was in the garden, I ended up chasing him into the back garden and finally managed to catch him. This morning he's avoiding me..........shows he has some brains lol. As a result I'm tired this morning as I still had to be up. Vonny that is so annoying about the jigsaw. I haven't done a jigsaw in ages but did have it happen to me once, luckily though I did find it eventually lol. Trifley spring here at the moment is wet :-(. It was lovely until Friday then has rained all over the weekend and today. Rebs well done for fixing the stereo :-) It's me that has to do things in this house to. Anna glad you've got the puter fixed. As for the posts I noticed that too this morning. Joodles hope you're not feeling too tired from that charity work. Hope you all have a good day :-) *waves to all* Juliexx

Now why didn't I think of that Trifley ??? Put together my own personal tool box, out of harms way. The only thing I don't attempt around here is changing a light bulb. We have 11 ft ceilings and as a short-shit I simply can't reach. The ladder is stored on beams below the garage roof, so I can't reach that either. Could be the reason why we have been using only lamps in the bedroom for the last 6 months. lol !!!

Yaaayyy! It's raining! Well misty, sprinkling water from the sky. That'd be bloody right........I watered the pots and small gardens yesterday and this arvo it rains! Some is better than none I suppose. Hi Rebs..I keep a hammer, couple of screw drivers and pliers in the bottom of the pantry and there is help to pay if anyone moves them and doesn't put them back. I've been waiting since last Wednesday for Graeme to put in a plaster screw for me to hang one of my clocks on. The drill, bits, screw and clock have been sitting on the dinning room table all this time. It would be quicker if I did it myself (and I COULD!). You don't need a man to fix your stero anymore than I need one to hang my clock. If you waited for a man to fix it you would be waiting several birthdays! You did a good job <<<clap>>> Hi Anna....yippee...got your puta fixed! Was it anything awful? About the number of posts....could the phantom nudger have been at work? Think it might be time for some more caffein....be back later. 'Bye Trifley

Hi all, I noticed the number thing too. Gee, I hope you haven't offended anyone, or maybe someone who said hello occasionally just decided to clean up their 'View Yours' files. Haven't heard from Tony for a while, hope it weren't him!! Sooo pleased for you, Anna. I hate being without my computer. Hope the housecall wasn't too expensive. Do you know how much money you made today, Jood? I know how much charity work tires you. A friend and I organised a team for Relay for Life (NSW Cancer Council) and it is very draining having to ask local businesses to donate things for raffles, etc. Anyway, the Mudgee RfL raised over $120,000 and that's pretty incredible for a town with a population of only just 8,500. Well it looks like our lounge and dining room suites will be arriving this week, so photos will be posted shortly. Love to you all Lew Lew xxx

Hi Rebs, I know just how you feel. Neville has be in and out of my office all day doing things and borrowing things. Has he put them away?? No they are all scattered all oer the place. I recently did some copying for him and filled it all away neatly, in alphbetical order. Now he can't find what he is looking for and I get the blame. He has taken everything out of the folders, spred them around, the wind has blow in and every thing is mesed up. I give up. As long as I keep my stuff in it's place. I never move any thing of nevilles any more. I going to make dinner Steak and chips. Night nite SuzyQ

lol Anna. Not sure about the roaring, but there was certainly lots of cursing happening in my search for a screwdriver. Why is it so hard??? If I want band-aides or savlon, I look in the first aid box. Why? because it's the logical place to look. If I need a safety pin, needle and thread, etc, I look in the sewing box. again...logical. So why in the bloody hell are there never any screw drivers or hammers in the bloody tool box ??? Oh yeah, yesterday when I needed a hammer. In the took box? No !!!!!! It was on the floor under the old laundry tubs in the garage. I kicked when I was looking for something else. And they wonder why we're short tempered? Grrrr!!!! And I noticed the number thingy. Can't have been one of the regulars, because the number of posts didn't drop too dramatically. Bit hard to tell, because there are so many posts on here you can no longer read all of them. Only 20 pages from either direction. The pages in the middle have been lost to cyber space.

Ripper Rita!! Dear little man was able to fix the computer on site - so here I am. Go Rebs - 'I am woman hear me roar!' You have done very well. Glad you got back safely Lew - pity about the rain, or lack thereof. Now here's a conundrum for you all. Last night I posted message number 3550. When I logged onto the site now, it is message number 3534. Someone has been through and removed their posts from the site. I tested my theory by removing one of my own posts and the total number of messages dropped back by 1. So - who is it who wishes to remove themselves from the site? Had a quick look but have not yet found the answer - any one else able to throw any light on the subject? Be back later XX Anna

Hi all, well I am home also. It rained, drizelled and misted all day .... it didnt really affect me tho I did have to change my mind what to wear. It was the VIEW Clubs 40th birthday bash .. no golf, I doubt anyone in their right mind would have wanted to play golf there today, in fact someone said the ducks were out on the lawns. Yeah .... duck weather! Lol, I cant say I enjoyed myself that much - I had a lot of work to do, head down, bum up ... even missed friends passing through before they sat down. Tho I wasn't the only busy one. ... We were all glad when it was over. ...... Lots of compliments on a lovely day they tell me. Some of the committee had been busy for months, we two were busy wrapping gifts one day, and doing raffles today ..... and THAT was busy. $5, $10's and gold coins flowing around in all directions. I spoke to some ladies from Lithgow Lew, and they said (like you) that it had been raining there, so I was sure you'd get some .... :-(( So I was pretty glad to get home after a long day .. Lols have a great time in NZ, lucky devil. .. Friend said this today about NZ's weather raining,,hailing,,blowing,,snowing,,sunshining ... so take your pick! Poor Rebs, what a time you had. .. Sounds just like me sometimes trying to fix something I know nothing about. Aggggggh ... I'm so tired, and cold, roll on bedtime. Jood

It would be a great book to buy if you have young children or grandchildren. I can just imagine the giggles, especialy from the little boys. Not home yet Tony, or has Barb won the big one and you have both run away.LOL Seriously, I hope everything and everyone is okay. Afternoon all you little chatterboxes. Aarrgghh !!! What is it with me and electrical items ??? Decided to check what an unmarked cd was today. Opened the cd drawer......one of those where the cd's sit on a rotating platform style thingy and the one playing gets picked up allowing you to open the drawer and change either of the remaining two. What happens? The cd which was playing drops off when the drawer opens, into the bowels of the stereo. Not supposed to happen. Only way to reach it is to take the back off the stereo. Well, any idiot knows that first you have to turn off and unplug the unit for safety reasons....which I do. What happens? The drawer automatically closes when the power is turned off, jamming halfway because the fallen cd is stuck behind it. After hunting for that ever elusive screwdriver (I finally used one that came with the sewing machine), I take the back off, lift the top off, and come to a complete halt. The damn cd has been pushed into a groove thingy by the closing drawer and won't come out. Since it is one of my favourite Beatle cd's, I didn't want to try and force it. Couldn't have been the crappy compilation cd could it? Plugged the blasted thing back in, ignoring warning stickers placed everywhere that removing the back could lead to electrocution, turned it on, opened the drawer, and yes !!! finally retrieved the offending cd. These things never happen when there is a male in the house to deal with it. And of course, only they know where they put the screw driver after they last used it. Never in the tool box where you would expect to find it. I'm completely lost without my stereo. I would choose it over the telly any day. arrrggghhhh!!!!! Off for a good cup of coffee, made with Baileys instead of milk.

Well, I finally worked out my new name, I'm Liver Battychunks, lol. Thanks SuzyQ. Oh No, Anna, what will you do without your computer. Hope it's not for long, you'll never catch up!!! Yes Tony where are you. You've gone very quiet. Hope it's not from lack of tablets. Well, better go and unpack. Lew Lew xxx

Hi Wattles, Laurie you naughty girl. I was beginning to get quite flustered. Quite a let down as I don't like buying shoes. Can never find the ones I want except when I don't have the funds. Hope you have a nice time in NZ, hope its not Wellington, they had an earthquake today about 5 on the scale. Anna, it's awful with out the puta, when ours needs repair we have to take it back to Brisbane, and they are busy, so it usually takes a week. Good time to get some cleaning done. LOL Where is Tony. TONY WHERE ARE YOU. CAN YOU HEAR ME. I hope that you all had a lovely day yesterday. Those left at home got a bit silly, are we forgiven? As Trifly said, it's a lovely day here in QLD, no sign of the promised rain. Maybe tomorrow. I am sorry, but I just need to get on my soap box. What does any one think about removing the Gideon bibles from hospitals, for fear of offending the non-christians. My suggestion is that the non christians go and put copies of their religious books into hospitals to even things up. Well, bye for now, may look in later SuzyQ

Morning all Oh woe is me. Puter has been chucking wobblies and a trouble shooter is coming to look at it - and he may have to take it away to run some tests and diagnose!! What will I do without my puter! So if I'm not around it is not because I have done a runner - it's because I will be pining away without my daily Wattle fix. Seriously, after Chris updated the virus protection the wretched computer keeps on crashing which is not an ideal state of affairs. So Chris has been trying to track down the problem and has got nowhere - so having to call in the big guns. Please don't have too much fun without me! Luv to all Anna

Hi all Wattlers, Belated Happy Mothers Day and Happy Anniversary to Sue & Neville Haven't been able to get on here 'cos when I have been home so has son and guess who hasn't been able to have the 'net - me Had to catch up on 7 pages since Friday - trouble with too much to do and not enough time to do it all. You all sound like you enjoyed Mother's Day. Mine started with work and ended with heavy metal - ears are still ringing but what a blast. Deep Purple & Status Quo were in town last night - it was a family outing as son always goes to concerts with us and daughter was working backstage feeding the bands - ooohh she met one of the guys from Deep Purple - briefly - he only had a towel around him - he was in the aptly titled 'Undressing room - beware nudity - do not enter if it offends' Now it's back to h*******k and answering emails. Have 'met' a cousin on here who is actually doing quite a bit of leg work on my mother's paternal family - nice to not be the one being bled for info for once. Planning a day in the library tomorrow so can't sit here for too long or I might feel guilty about the chores that aren't done - NOT Have a good day, catch ya'll later (hopefully) ~~~~~waving Gwenda

Happy monday Wattlers, I gave up on you lot yesterday, your all mad...lol We had eldest daughters best friend here for the day (we call her daughter no 3) she is adopted and fascinated with genes but not sure yet if she wants to find her biological mum. Then it was off to MIL so hubby could tune in her new TV which took hours . I got a text from Kate, she is in Spain for 10days, and scratchies and flowers from Jess so that was nice. H*******K day today so I'll be around on and off all day. All those on the road, travel safe Jude2

Good morning all - a cold, bleak, rainy day on the Bay - can't tell you how many giraffes are working this morning, just a grey blob over that way! Ray was elated when he saw the weather, means he doesn't have to spend the day out on the boat when he doesn't really have the time! We had a lovely dinner out last night, its so nice to have the lovely Ray home, though he probably needs earmuffs, after being here on my own for so long I have heaps to say - but then I think I maybe do a lot of that anyway! My brain has ben busy all night, couldn't sleep for memories . . . I got an email last night from a lady who got my addy off a message board on Genealogy . . . her husband is my mums godson and nephew, his parents split during the war and mum last saw her 'Johnny' in 1944 - but she spoke of him ever so often. One of the funny things I remember well is a ditty she said he used to sing during the war to warn the guys if a provo was about and they were where they shouldn't be it went like so . . 'There's a provo, there's a provo, there's a provo at the gate Checking passes, kicking asses there's a provo at the gate' Darn and drat that we are off to NZ tomorrow - I wont get to meet up with them till I get back . . . He will have memories of my grandma that I never knew . . . poor guy wont know what he has let himself in for . . . Joodles, you have a great day at the birthday bash today - stay safe on the roads! You too Lew, I guess you will be headed back West this morning. Poor Von, Don't you just hate that - the missing piece of the puzzle - but then we're used to that in genealogy aren't we . . . Mental picture of Von & John on hands and knees looking under every piece of furniture, every nook & cranny . . . for a tiny wee piece of blue sky. I guess I should go and repack, think I am going to need a few more layers - and a rethink on the size of the case I take, will check in later on in the day. Have a good one cheers luv Laurie
