Hi Laurie and everyone else. It's good shopping at Jimboomba, there is every thing you would need. I think I heard that they are trying to build another shopping centre there. There is also going to be a Woollies in Beaudesert. Well, that's 3 men to try to keep us in line, maybe 4 I think Donna said her hubby was coming. Please give my love to Joodles. Tell her not to rush to get well, we are all here for her and want her back fighting fit. It is that time of the day when i feed the chooks, so good night and goodbye from her Luv SuzyQ |

Thanks Laurie for letting us know how Joods is going. Maybe the medic are holding things up a bit to keep her there a bit longer, especially if they know what she wants to do re BBQ. Please send my get well wishes next time you are talking to Joods please. Cheers Sue |

Afternoon all. . . rugged up here too . . . I also have a problem with winter sunshine - or lack thereof . . yes I know it was a male who designed this place too . . . Have a lovely view out to the east, but thats it - come 11am and there is no sunshine on the front of the building at all and thats it for me! 3 apartments on each floor, the others get south and north - the utilities get west! Could have had a north facing one - but still prefer this one for the view, no neighbours out the front either! Thats not counting the giraffes! Suzy, when we go home we shop in Jimboomba, we walk around like lost soles searching for faces we know, it is so different now to when we moved out there in 1988. Jimboomba had the pub, M10 in a shed up the back and 1 row of shops up the front on the highway, which consisted of chemist, IGI supermarket, fruitshop and two real estate offices. We knew almost everyone we saw, and it used to take ages to go in and get the paper on Sunday morning because you got caught on the tongue ever step you took. The pub was tiny, in fact when they rebuilt it the put the roof up on steel posts first, over the old one, then knocked the old one down as they rebuilt so that they didn't have to close at all. I'm all booked for Brisbane, but trying to work out some flights for Ray - he will be in Adelaide the week before - he wants to come to the meet Suzy, so he will be pleased that Neville is going to be there too! I did a check around to make sure all our flights this year have been added onto the old frequent flyer accounts, retirement travel is looking healthy . . . silly son has a joke with me all the time asking me how many frequent flyer points do I love him .. . . in his dreams! Men and their meals . . . I'm with you Suzy & Devly, get sick of trying to decide what to prepare for meals, done nothing about tonights - the lovely Ray still hasn't let me know if he will be here or at football . . . . good thing I dont fluster easy! Made a big pot of loop'da'loop yesterday, so if all else fails . . . . Too cold to sit still for very long, so off to find something to do that requires moveing about . . . . cheers luv Laurie |

Hi Watlers...particularly you poor freezing peeps and those on the sniffle list. Rebs....just talking to Mark....he said there are plenty of alcove/bars at the casino so we should be alright for somewhere to sit. In any case.....who would throw out a bunch of middle aged genealogists with their carer (you)? SuzyQ....does your dog look like a guide dog? We could say it's to lead us to safety when we are tippsy heee heeee. Looking forward to meeting Neville....that is the hubby isn't it? Not the dog? pmsl The afternoon sun is streaming into my lounge room so I think I might have a coffee and snuggle on the lounge with my book. ~~~~~~~~waves to everyone Trifley X |

LOL, SuzyQ. Do we mind if you put the dog in a kennel or that you are bringing Neville! He'll be company for Terry, anyway. Bet is real chilly in Tassie today, Sue. Wind here in Mudgee must be coming straight off the Antarctic, brrrrrr. Lew Lew xxx |

Its funny isnt it Suzi, You ask them what they would like for tea and their reply is always what have you got or whatever you like, yet if I ask if they would like anything different got in the groceries it is always just the usual. Maybe Tony has the right idea and we start being like Barb and take all the labels off the food and we can have 'Surprise' every night, save the stress of trying to work out what to have. lol Cheers Sue |

Afternoon Wattlers, It was very cold here this morning, we had our first frost. The cat didn't stay out long this morning. My house was also designed by a man. The front faces west, we get all the afternoon sun, the mornings are like a fridge in winter. It is still only 21 in my lounge room. I wanted to change the house around so that the bedrooms were downstairs and the lounge upstairs, but Neville says it would be better to move. Joodles, I suggest that you take Laurie up on her offer. The weather is not suitable for BBQ's, even if you are 100% fit. I am also guessing that you won't be allowed out of hospital unless you have some one to take care of you, and who better that Laurie. You will laugh your self better. Neville has decided that he would also like to come to the Brissie meet. So I am trying to get the dog into a kennel for the night, and then we don't have to rush home, she suffers from separation anxiety if we leave her for too long on her own. Hope no one minds. Did the weekly shop today, I don't know about every one else, but my bill gets bigger every week. Things don't go up one or two cents, but ten or twenty. Laurie we went to Jimboomba today for a change, more choice than Coles in beauy. Where do you shop when you are up here? Well, I suppose I should say go the maroon's but I don't really follow football in any form. I will probably watch the 3 princes. On Sunday I watch a programme on ABC about royal pets. It was really interesting and gave you a very different view of the royals, especially the Queen. btw I am not particularly a royalist. Some Queens are better than other's. Pharoah and Qantas Queens are particularly nice. I will now walk away backwards, bowing, showing my respect for those of a higher station. SuzyQ |

Hello to all Wattlers, Wafflers, Newbies, unwell persons, Chilly folk etc etc, Laughed out loud at your 'think before you speak' funnies Tony, can just picture that little boy !! I've just been amused by child in the shop about 2 and a half or so singing away while Dad browsed. She was so unselfconscious and beautiful and happy, it was a really uplifting few minutes. I gave her a Caramello Koala when they left for being so good for Dad. Jood Jood Jood, sending big healthy vibes your way xxx hugs xxx hopefully they will fix you up a treat, and Laurie you're a good fairy to help out, I hope Jood takes up your offer for some company while recouperating. Sandra good to see you still going to the gym, me too, I've gone three times a week for nearly a year now, I don't take much notice of the measurements they do each month so can't say I've lost weight but I have lost bodyfat and I'll much much fitter all round. I love the fact it takes 35 minutes and you don't need to wear fancy gear. I can do gym and quick supermarket pick-up and be home again in under an hour from where I am, it's brilliant. Anna I nearly posted yesterday and said you must have got close to Aggregate with all those seconds and you did !! Congats to daughter and her choir glad they are thrilled, really caps it off when theres an award at the end. Well last night turned into an impromptu dinner party as DD14's friend's Mum dropped her home late after school and I ended up feeding them both and even OH stayed up till 10pm had a wine or threee (try not io indulge during the week ususally) very funny and gossippy night, I'm going to go home early today for a nap and to make sure OH naps too because he will insist on staying up for State of Origin (go maroons), tv coverage starts at 9.30 pm? won't finish till late, I might make it to the end. We lived in Indooroopilly for 2 years late 1986/87/early88, my brother lives in Ashgrove still. Wally was king back then, we loved him. Hi to everyone else too numerous to mention, I do actually have to get some work done you know lol . Hz in Albury ( sunny and very cold) |

Afternoon Anna I have just been looking at Jetmail I received from Jetstar, They are having a birthday sale for those who receive Jetmail, and seats to specified areas are only $22.00 the travel dates are from July 19, bugger if they had them earlier I could have got from Lton to Melb, then Melb to Newcastle, then Newcastle to Brisbane for $66. 00 now that would have been tempting if they had been for 10 June :-((( Anyway hope you all have a great time. Cheers Sue |
