Good morning all, Really S L O W today. and just had a phone call from daughter, and her and bubs are Home!!!! Not even 24 hours in hospital. What is the world coming to?? Mind you it was her choice and she has to go back on Monday for a Dr to check bubs out. Wonder if they remembered that Monday is a holiday???? So I'll just potter round for the rest of the morning and go and see them this afternoon. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Vonny

Morning Lew, glad you are feeling much better. (You must be if you wanted to see full frontals, hahaha) Please dont send the pic of the black snake eating the brown snake :( Anna/SuzieQ - do either of you have the music site someone told us to try .. forget who it was, someone from UK ? who doesnt use the Wattle thread very much, was a few days ago, and one of you played some of the music. I'm not sure if it's going to be cold or hot today. .. It doesn't seem to be one or t'other. .. Sure as eggs I dress warm it will turn out to be hot, and vice versa. Haven't heard from Tassie for a few days - and still no word from Shaz. Have a good one Jood

Good morning Wafflers and a special good morning and welcome to Miss Ella, great name. Well after all that waiting you certainly decided to make a grand entrance, didn't you. How are you this morning, Nanna Vonny. Foot is feeling much better this morning. There's no infection, just bad bruising. Thank you for the photo of one of the brothers, Trifles. That seems to have done the trick, lol. Pity it wasn't a front shot, heeeeeee. Look after yourselves Neville, John, Cilla, Shaz and whoever else is not feeling their best. Hey, who's killing the black snakes! Don't do that, they keep the brown snakes away. Black snakes will only strike you if they feel threatened. They would rather keep out of your way, whereas the brown snakes are aggressive and will do anything to have a go at you. I have a fantastic photo of a black snake eating a brown. Great to hear from you Gwenda. Sounds like you're having a ball. That's the only thing I hate about travelling, dragging the blasted suitcase around. Well I'm off to get brekky. ~~~~waves to all~~~~ Lew Lew xxx

Good morning Wattlers, a very hazy sort of day here on the Bay, a container ship is just making its way through the heads, and there are only two giraffe holding their heads up high. Ah I missed Gwenda . . . as she said, Niagara Falls is hard to explain, it is magnificent, powerful, mind blowing. I can sympathize with the poor feet too, it is a hilly terrain, and spread out - walking there can be hard going. I am out early this morning so best get off this puter and get ready. Cant you later Have a great day luv Laurie

Good morning Wattlers Late night I see Fluff and Vonny! Hope you both managed to get some restful sleep eventually. Lovely to hear from Gwenda - her poor feet will never be the same again. She sounds as if she's having a wonderful time. Sunny day here - Chris is going ahead with the digging machine despite the wet ground as more rain is forecast and he's going to Perth early next week and wants to have it all done before he goes. Tank arrives just after he gets back. Sending best wishes to all those who are not in the best of health. Cilla - hope the resuslts will be OK and to Mary's John and SuzyQ's Neville, hope you are both back to good health soon. Lew - hope the foot is improving and that Prince Charming is attending to your every need. Hi Heather - you sound suitably relaxed and the news from Japan all sounds good. When is she due home? I'm not looking forward to today - there will be mud everywhere and we're not allowed to use hoses so fun times ahead! Have a great day everyone Luv Anna

Gwenda, was in Niagara in 2003. Still have my blue 'Maid of the Mist' poncho. A truly amazing experience. As you say, you have to experience it. Enjoy DC. A different city again. Am definitely going beddie byes now Pam

Morning Wattlers from DC Congrats to Vonny & John on another beautiful granddaughter and welcome to the world Ella - she sure was in a hurry. Glad it all went well - bet lots of women wish their labour was that quick!!! We are on the final leg of our 3 week odyssey - we will be glad when it is Saturday here as we fly home - so sick of dragging suitcases around all the time - have enjoyed it all tho - well after NY anyway for me. Loved Ottawa as I said before, not so sure about Toronto - rather busy and noisy like NY but we had a great time sightseeing there thanks to Grayline with a 3 day bus pass. Hostel was okay but we really do like our comforts. Niagara Falls were magical, magnificent, impressive - think you get the picture - I really don't think there are enough words to describe them at all - you've just got to see them to believe it. We arrived in DC yesterday - bit bus lagged as we left Niagara at 11.30 pm and just made the connecting bus to DC at 10 am - would probably have had to wait another hour for the next one if we had missed that I'm guessing. Hotel Harrington is old but comfortable and downtown so things aren't too far in walking distance. Daughter gave me blisters again - left foot only after hiking around Niagara trying to find Cirque Niagara which we went to Sunday night. Then next day we had to walk same way to get to Marineland - it's a 1.5 k walk each way - well would be if we went in a straight line but she detours and deviates - some days we have walked for almost 12 hours - who said exercise was good for you - I think she's trying to kill me!!!! We are off to see the sights of DC so I had better get off here - mind you had lots of trouble getting on and trying to catch up with emails etc. and daughter bitching about us getting up early to catch first bus - it's now an hour later than we planned - oh well we will get there. Hope things are going okay for y'all back home - might manage to catch up a bit more tonight to see what you're all up to. Have a great day Love to everyone - oh belated happy birthday to Julie - hope you had a good one. Gwenda xx

Vonny, not surprised you can't sleep. My little great neice is also called Mia. She is about to get a little brother in Feb, so I don't think I will copy you 'balloons'. Relax while you can and ENJOY..........Talk later today, that should shock you into bed..........I'm off Pam

Can't sleep!!! it's all catching up with me. went to bed and just keep remembering bits and pieces! Trifley, D has taught sign language from about 6 months. A lot of parents seem to be doing it. It is very helpful though as they can often sign before they can speak. Not that speaking is a problem with Mia!!! however she can sign for food, drink, hot, cold, sleep, which is helpful for me when I mind her. Going to make a hot milky milo drink!!

Such a lovely time for you all. (you wont forget today in a hurry) Glad things went OK today our Queen, sad the rats tail (and the rest of the stubble) didn't hang about a little longer . . . but you will think of another way to make a stand I'm sure. Our Amanda will be arriving tomorrow night, so I am really looking forward to that, I am sure she will be missing the hubby though, only married 3 weeks. I think she is here with us untill Tuesday. Congratulations proud grandma Vonny - glad little Ella arrived safely. Wow- that was sure cutting it fine! If there's to be another, she'll have to take up residence in the hospital wating room! We had about an inch of rain. Lovely - except Chris has a digging machine ordered for tomorrow to prepare the site for the tank and to dig trenches for pipes on the open areas of the lawn. (He's already hand dug the trenches in the non-accessible places down the side of the house.) Now the ground will be too soggy to dig! Blow! Glad to hear you're enjoying a martooni Trifley and that today went well. Lew - be careful of that foot - physician heal thyself. You might need antibiotics. No good taking those multicoloured anti-psychotic pills for infections! I am so mixed up with all the royals dropping in and out of the thread that I've given up on you all! Too much for the mind of a lowly peasant! Jood - I watched Ray Martin interview Terry Irwin also. I thought Ray was very gentle - even though he seemed to have caked brown make up on! Poor Terry - how my heart goes out to her. She sure loved her knight in shining armour. Happy birthday Puddy. 21 I presume? Hope you have a seriously happy day and all the very best for the year ahead. XXXXX Best take myself off to beddy byes. Sweet dreams to everyone. Love Anna
