Hi Anna - I couldnt understand Lara either - and I've forgotten the name of Rebs thread anyway. The naughty corner has never been deleted. ???? I have been watching the 3 substitutes threads which sprang up (one of which also got banned) - the other two are still going. Hiya Fred - can I come for a roast dinner please? - they are few and far between here. I've been telling my g/f from Nottingham already that its your turn to have the hot weather (I've had it) - roll on autumn, and gently, winter! Lara dear, the Naughty Corner has never been deleted - it was the tourism ad that was deleted (whatever it was called) Jood |

Evening Wattlers What a funny day it has been on the threads!! We're on - we're off, What a hoot and it all started with the Aussie tourist ad. All fabulous publicity! Hi Fred - you are very welcome. But you have to tell me what a chuck is??? Over here a chuck is a technicoloured yawn if you know what I mean!! I had an ancestor come from Dundee Forfar - name was O'Connor but I can't find her on Scotlands people. They tell me the name sounded too Irish and they may have changed it!! Lara - what have you been on today?? You're babbling!! What am I supposed to be looking for?? And how did you lose the whole gr?? You've got me confused!!! Not that that's hard to do!! Have a bloody good evening all, Anna :>) |

Good Evening just decided to have a look at what you were all up to and good grief Ive missed it all just been having a float around while Tiger was at golf and not making me feel awwww fully guilty floating around with a Brown Bros in hand and great book in the other while he works his butt off doing the surrounds paving steps brickwalls etc as she sneakingly gets the whip and says c'mon Tiger you can go faster than that move it boy get your a***se into gear boyo or no golf tomorrow for you lol oh oh sprung by you lot nooooo he's not my slave he's being well rewarded with bread and butter pudding and pavlova see get your minds out of the gutter you lot hehheheh Reb your thread has been reinstated the powers that be must have really read and decided you would have to be a D/Head to take it off and an absolute hypocrite into the bargain like their census on our tv ad just a load of bunkum. Who is Les from Yarrawonga I need to know this please he must be someone I know or he might be someone I don't know at all heheh is it you Les Weekes I will find out so you had better own up mate please tell us whoooo you are ????? and where you live lol Tony could you actually understand those peeps giving directions at the MCG not like those at Flinders St Station where you stood for 5 mins trying to understand what in the hell they just said as they were mostly Pakistanies or Srilankans and you normally had no idea which platform or what time train was leaving from? No JA I havn't they will really rock this staid old town eh , but we are not locals havn't been here for 25 years or a couple generations yet, so they will call us all tourists anyway who cares huh they just blame all the bad stuff around here on any one who isn't a local anyway heheh Must go have to get busy drinking Cobram Cream while floating around and checking if pool needs vacuaming ohh its bhaqrd life but someone has to do it,heheheheh LOL bye now Love Lara |

Good morning Joodles ,and everyone else on here, from [Bloody fred] in sunny [not] newcastle. I only caught the tail end of the thread but it seemed as funny as an ozzy chewing on a wasp lol some people have no sense of fun at all. I have my son coming today for his birthday lunch and tea,a nice fresh british chuck[no french garbage allowed]and to this end i selected a nice oz chrardonny called oxford landing,so i hope your vineyards arn't going to let me down,i had a nice sharez last month and that was real nice. im beggining to get a real taste for good winebut won't buy french on principle. I take it you are all sliding down into autumn over there, sorry about that peeps but it's our turn now for balmy evenings and hot glorious days [sigh] Fred is looking out of the window and on this nice early spring morning it is snowing [yuk] Looking through the baird records i see that most of my family came from Angus and can find no records of scots from my branch emigrating over to oz, or any going to the states either ,which is a blow.so i will have to make do with a few cousins scattered about over there in new zealand and oz,i hope this enables me to become a sort of honarary member lol i promise to behave myself Well ,i have to be off now, time to get that chuck in the oven and i havn't even started on the stuffing yet[ home made country style of course] Have a nice weekend all .Fred. . |

Hi waffle wattlers.....I have just spent 20mins looking for Reb's thread and then discovered it had been shafted! Is that some kind of censorship? Ah well if the person who complained can't take a joke at least we have broad enough shoulders to take the snub. You can't keep an Aussie down that way ha ha ha:) One of my nephews dropped in this morning with some bread he had home baked. Crusty outside, soft, warm and tasty inside. We attacked it with a knife, butter and a generous helping of cocky's joy! Yumyyyyy :)))) Sticky fingers....slurpppp. I'm getting all arty farty again today.......I have to paint the back of the mosaic I did so it can go outside. See ya all later Tony........I'm off like a Bondi tram :))))) |

G'day All, Well have been entertained no end on the going's on , on the boards. What person<<<(to be polite) would do a thing like that and have that bloody tread removed. Here is a letter written in to the DailyTelegraph today (Sat) Billy Connolly regually drops the F----word in shows broadcast here but the Brits ban 'bloody' perhaps they would have preferred 'Where the f--- are you? Say know more. Laurie love your travel tales, glad your having a great time, shall look forward to the rest. Not a lot happening here, having nearly 16yr old Grandson stay the night am cooking a roast for him, he loves my roasts he says, roast beef and yorkshire puds. Hope you are all well cheers Sandra in the Gong |

Sounds like it will be really good Tony. Looking forward to seeing it on TV (I mean, it would be lovely to see it for real - I did see the 1962 Games in Perth) - but TV is excellent in that it covers from up above as well - for better visual effect. Im sure we will do the rest of the world proud. Ummm - wots the Melbourne Icon - Fosters? Footie? Dame Edna?? Jood |

Morning Wokkles. O/cast in Melb. Where's the 36 c they promised us??.....ya just cant trust a weather man...lol Had a great night at the Commonwealth games rehearsal. We caught the train in to Richmond station, and walked up Brunton Ave. to the M.C.G The security was 1st class, and everyone was screened and pockets emptied into your own little cardboard box. Handbags and carry bags were emptied and searched thoroughly. It was like you were flying O/Seas and sign's everywhere saying, if you are found with any illegal items on you...they were confiscated and you don't get E'm back. Video Cameras or cameras were not allowed in to the rehearsal ( fair enough ). Peeps had to be there by 6:30 and the show started at 7:45 ( when it got darker ( to get the effect ). There were about 40 to 50 thousand people., and we were sworn to secrecy...lol So i cant tell ya's what went on...:>(((....lol Plus.... i dont want to spoil it for anyone. I can say that, it was Mmmmmm....O'k Lots of flashing lights, and visual effects.....even had a mock Queen arrive in a Toyota...which sent the audience into hysterics....and the familiar wave from HRH. got the crowd warmed up. It was a full rehearsal from start to finish...but we were told that some things would not be shown, as it would spoil the Official opening. A lot of work had been put into it, and the M.C.G playing area was very different. The Athelete's grand entrance into the arena was very good, different,....and it makes for a better entrance onto the ground. The show kicks off with a Typical Melbourne Icon!!...so i will let you guess what that might be...lol Overall...from what we were allowed to see, i would give it a 7 out of 10...but thats my opinion only, not forgetting we were not allowed to see everything. Apart from that it was a good night....but the food cost...$$$$$$$$$$.....but thats typical at these venues. The volunteers around the outside of the M.C.G were excellent as far as knowing which area you were allotted to, and directions given were 10/10. Loud speakers all around the outside of the ground, telling people where and what train platforms to catch, to get back home. The rehearsal finished a approx 10:45 pm...and then 50 thousand people ( at once ) headed for Richmond Station...psml Hope the railways get there act to-gether on the night of the opening....Enough said..:>)) Tony Oz..:>)) |

Morning All, have just awoken to the dreadful news that our bloody thread has been deleted!!!!!!!!!! What Pratt complained? Have they nothing better to do? How pathetic!! Anyway, it was fun while it lasted and I'm bloody surprised it lasted as long as it did. Oopps, better watch the language, otherwise this thread will disappear. Off to Dubbo shortly for the big shop. I'll report in when I get home. Furniture awaits. Lew Lew xxx |
