okay, I'll stick my hand up (and neck out) to organise a Brissie meet. How about Southbank? Great cafes and restaurants and at least one pub (The Brittania Inn), amazing markets on the weekend. Right next to the museum and art gallery. And there are always the river cats for a cruise up the river. And the lagoon for those crazy enough to go swimming. And there is always my favourite...............Dooleys. But they can tell too many tales, so perhaps not. |

hello all, You pair of buggers you never miss and opportunity do ya? I couldn't find the thread and was wasting any more time looking so there ! Laurie I think you did exactly right thing in Paree and let them know you are Aussies. The place I liked the best was Monte Mart the Sacred Heart Church is the most beautiful of all the churchs I have seen and we saw so many, while overseas. So is this a goer the Mudgee meet up next February ? Noone has put there hand up too organise our Queensland meet up in June so we have to find some one and somewhere doesnt have to be at anyones house of course just a pub for long lunch would be great Reb Anna you'd love an email I got how to speak NZ its real hoot if I can find it I will send it to you , no crouchen and floating around the pool today we had a mini cyclone here last night no joke it was unreal and dust like you wouldn't believe, the bloke next door nearly lost his tUnnie (NZ speak)and its warm again today but no sun what's so ever and no sleep last night and the smoke was terrible too don't know where the fire was but probably on the Murray River peeps were warned not under any circumstances to light a fire as its a long weekend here and was going to be so hot and windy but guess what someone did exactly that and started a big fire no brains or what hopefully noneone was badly burnt Fred you're are funny I can see the chucks running around but I prefer fush and chups myself not till after sex though . Tony I was going to clobber Mike for that remark to Billy but remembered just in time good brickies are hard to come by especially free ones lol must go and give him a hand now so will see you all later love Lara |

I know. It's pathetic isn't it! I mean, there wasn't nothing wrong with the thread, just a bit for a laugh, but there are some very small minds out there, as you should well know. Okay, let's start a new one!!! Lew Lew xxx |

P'd off at the tourism thread getting deleted. Didn't really worry too much about it yesterday cos the head wasn't up to it, but today I p*ssed off. Must be the only person with the dubious honour of having the same thread deleted twice. lol! http://groups(.)msn(.)com/GCPhotospage/purplemonkeydishwasher |

Greetings All. God you lot can prattle. I'm exhausted just trying to keep up! No pictures of the house until the end of the month. It will be ready for occupation and I want to take nice piccies for you all to see. Are you going to come over for the Mudgee Meet, Julie? Should be a hoot. Hey all this chuck talk is making me feel queasy. Speaking of which, how's the heads Rebs? Great to hear from you Laurie. Sounds like you're having a wonderful time. You're right, Notre Dame is gorgeous. That massive stained glass window is just fantastic. I have a bizarre photo of my hunch backed and hanging from a lamp post. Mind you, a dozen japanese tourists have the same photo!!! Beautiful day in Mudgee. 33C and sunny. *waves to everybody* Have a good one. Lew Lew xxx |

G'day all wattlers, You have been a busy lot, chattering away I won't even begin to answer . well maybe. Lew how lovely to be able to buy all that new furniture, mine will have to see me out now i think, I would love a new bedroom suite mines a bit old fashioned now. Hot matches ect It is so frustrating, I have sent 3 emails to one person who has 4 of my ancesters in, absulute certainty and no reply then a new lot of HM the other day and same person again so email again so far no reply, what is it with these people why even bother to be members. As for opening my tree, no way, if I know someone has a link to some part of my tree I am only to happy to give information. But it's not necessary to show the whole tree. Laurie if you are looking in, have you done the Arch D'Triomph (spelling) went up there on my visit brought tickets then found out the lifts were out of order, so climbed all the stairs to the top. The train from Brussels was it The Eurostar you travelled on??? Look forward to yor next post. Where is SuzyQ these days, hope you are well???? Good to see J A pop in also Fred always like to read about your cooking ect Fred Mary you must be close to coming home??? Looking forward to watching the Games, swimming is my favourite but still watch the rest, I guess not much will be done then lol well still very hot and humid in the Gong roll on winter. Good evening wattlers . . . . Update on Paris - Today we were lucky enough to be at Notre Dame for mass, (no, not catholic) it was unreal, the pipe organs, the whole thing was a bit special. Then off to visit with Mona, and no, I wasn't dissapointed with the size of the painting Lew, I knew what to expect, and it was a real treat to be among such amazing pieces of art. Then there was the impresionist . . . just to see them WOW ! Lew . . . . I wouldn't try the car thing here - besides the public transport is so good. I know if we were driving the friendship would come of second best! This keyboard . . . I have to go in upper case to do numbers, dots etc; the q is where the a should be - m is where the ; usually goes azertyuiop qsdfghjklm wxcvbn,;: so if it doesn't make sense to you it doesn't to me either We haven't had any rude Parisians Lara - but they dont appear to be as friendly as the folks in Brussells. Much to Rays disgust I hung a cute roo and koala on the backpack that he has to carry - so they all know where we hail from. Talking of that Ray got a great photo of the flag outside the Aust embassy - unfurled in front of the Awful Tower! French letters on the way Tony . . . . by way belqted congrqts on 13 yeqrs to you qnd Barb; Anyway have to go catch up with my kids - youngest one all excited over the signing of contracts on his first home - copy cat that he is - its on the beach at Brighton . . . . unfortunately his Brighton is in Qld mine in Sydney !!!! So cheers for now luv Laurie |
