Hi Wattlers I'm still here, We are still having lots of problems and I am not a very sociable girl at the moment. I read the messages every day, so I know what you are all up to. I look forward to Lauries travel documentary's, brought back a lot of memories for me. Rebs, maybe all the threads on the message board could be rated in the title, R for rude, S for swearing, etc, then we don't have to read them if we don't want. Or just type in This Thread contains language that some may find abusive. Then again, life is hard enough, why can't everyone just live and let live. Put me down for a June meet up. Can't wait. I am now going to reply to a few hot matches. I may have found an American connection. This branch of my family, the Croxford's, have really spread them selves about. They orginiated in Oxfordshire and I have found them in Australia, Canada and now hopefully America. They are an extremely large family and it seems that we are all interested in genealogy. Morning everyone, just a quick 'hello' while I have a spare couple of minutes. Have a house full of guests for the week then off to NT for a 3day weekend ...........I'm too old for all this running around, its exhausting. Haven't had time to read all the messages so hope all is well and will catch up soon. Rebs I dont know what has happened but I do agree that if you read threads that you aren't involved in you have to expect to find things that you either dont agree with or are offended by, so if thats the case stay away. There are some very small minded people out there, but thats their problem, just ignore them and play with us nice ones. In case I dont get back before sat .....GO CATS.....sorry

Downhearted?? Just totally fed up. So sick of the sanctimonious, holier than thous'. who pop up preaching the rules and regs, or drop in a thread to add a sarcy and usually provoking comment. By all means report something that's nasty or vindictive, or directed at another board member in a personal attack. But reporting something because you don't like the subject matter, or some of the comments or language???? Where do you draw the line in determining what is or isn't offensive? If 100 peeps read a thread, and 99 of them find it amusing, are not offended by it and contribute to it in good humour. But the last person finds the nature or comments of the thread offensive and reports it, should the thread be deleted? Is the opinion of that 1% more important? you can't delete a conversation you don't like on the streets. You can't beep out any words you don't personally approve of. So do you continue eavesdropping on the conversation or do you move away and ignore it. As far as I'm concerned, reading a thread without posting is akin to virtual eavesdropping. And we all know if you eavesdrop you will eventually hear something you don't like. No need to be a sneaky little snipe and report it though. Grrrr!!1 sorry folk, on my soap box this morning. I'm really p'd off this time.

Top of the morning to yu all! Oh me, Oh my!!!! Had me little excursion into controversy and got me fingers burnt!! As they say .................'Fools rush in where wise men dare to tread' !!!! Fred's thread is still there which is amazing! So is yours Reb so don't be downhearted. There was a great quote on the board yesterday - did any of you see it? 'Quote for the week Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away' I think that's a good maxim to live by. Morning All. Looks like I missed out on some action over! What's Fred's thread called. Dying to have a sticky beak. Positiive thoughts for Anna's former MIL. If she's made it to 83, Anna, she's a tough old bird!!! btw, your floor space is reserved. Queenslanders, its roughly a 10 hour drive from Mudgee to the Gold Coast (regularly visit friends on Hope Island) and I reckon if you drive in a convoy you'll be okay.
