strong antibiotics then anne i hate dentists, i think mines a fibber, i have probs off and on with bottom side teeth, hurt, if i bite on sumut the pain is awful, she did xray and said oh no they re fine, well i was due a filling but kept canceling due to other health reasons, but i dont trust them, some days it feels like the tooth is gonna fall out

LATEST NEWS.............. Just back from dentist - and chemist !! Most likely an infection in the root - 2 different antibiotics to be taken 3 times a day for 10 days ........................ and here's the bad news NO ALCOHOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh Pants !!! lol

Lunar - they had the big pile of cash (£379) back in October when it was first done - chq book and credit card won't be going with me this time !!!!! A little light reading will be the order of the day tho lolol

Anne - take something intresting to do/ read and either a cheque book / credit card/ a big pile of cash just incase. Hope they can sort it out for you. I've had horendous tooth pain recently but it was linked to sinousitus - you could have cut my arm off I would not have felt it.

Deanna Don't think it will be as quick as that to fix lol It's most likely gonna be antibiotics for an infection - or an extraction at worst lolol

UPDATE - Phone dental surgery - they are 'squeezing' me in at 12.20pm on Saturday .......... not quite how I like to spend my weekend (undoubtedly they will be running late, so will be there over an hour) - but hopefully will get sorted!!

Thank you all for your sympathies - advice and shared experiences. I shall be onto the dentist first thing tomorrow, and will hopefully get to 'the root of the problem' (pun intended lolol) on Friday or Saturday :O) Will keep you posted - cos I know Lemon especially will want that PMSL xxxx

Anne - I hope you feel better soon, I know how bad tooth pain can be - I remember the pain from one of my wisdom teeth before I had it removed. I think I would be nagging the dentist to do any work free of charge - sounds like it's something they've done or missed, so they should put it right for free. Good luck with it. Kaye x

Oh Anne I do sympathise! I too remember the excruciating pain I had with an abcess last year. Sounds like you need antibiotics. It's possible the infected tooth pulp was not all removed and infection has started up again, perhaps in the bone. See your dentist ASAP. Dee x
