Zoe Maz will prob know more but my death in 1966 gives address, as Mile End Place, Mile End Road. He is buried in Manor Park Cemetery.

if that death lady from the East End is still about.... can you suggest a cemetry for a death of someone lived mIle End Road in 1837?

Thanks for that Maz.... fancy going shopping when I needed you....... I have plot numbers for Woodgrange and Walthamstow. For manor park, I only have a reciept for the funeral, although this actually gives date of death as well as date of funeral. Will write to Woodgrange and see what they say, if anything.... and if you can find out what is at the other two, I might even take a trip up there myself. Will mail you if thats ok? had a look at the city of London cemetery as they have some of their registers online, but can't find any of my lot their. Haven't really done much on the deaths as was never sure which cemetry they was in. sorry was out at Morrisons! Little book doesn't give websites I'm afraid but this is what it sez .... Woodgrange Park - now this is the cem there was all the fuss about as they dug up a load of graves to build flats. The records from about 1909 are held at Badgehurst Ltd, Fen Lane, Orsett, Grays, Essex, RM16 3LT, Tel 01375 891440. Cem is in Romford Road, London E7. Wouldn't recommend a visit - Karen has been and will tell you it is horrid there. Walthamstow Cemetary is in Queen's Road, London E17. I went there once for someone on Genes and found the groundsman very helpful - he took me straight to the plot I needed. Happy to go there any time for you! Records from 1872 to date are held at Chingford Mount Cemetery, Old Church Road, London E4 6ST, tel 0208 524 5030. Manor Park Cemetary is in Sebert Road, Manor Park, London E7 ONP. I've been there to find my sister's grave - they were EXTREMELY helpful. Happy to go there anytime for you. The records from 1874 are kept there Tel 0208 534 1486. I think you may need to consider City of London as well - its the largest cemetary by far this side of London - and it is just the other side of the road from Manor Park Cem. They are quite helpful in the office, it is where my Dad and all his side are, so am happy again to visit any time. Address is Aldersbrook Road, Manor Park, London E12 5DQ.
