on my dads side - have actually lost count of how many sets of twins - there are so many of them. one set in recent years was with IVF - the rest all natural on my ex's side there are several sets of twins too - so my kids are in with a very good chance of having twins - maybe sooner than we think lol On Pauls tree - not many at all - but his step-gran had triplets in the 1920's - one died in her teens but the other two are still alive and well.

On my dads side My great nan had triplets in 1919, all natural. Got a letter from the queen. They would have been quads but one was lost either during the pregnancy or after birth (We dont know full details) One of those triplets, My Late Aunt Doll, Her sons wife went on to have twin boys, also natural. On my mums side, My maternal nan was one of twin girls....all natural. My cousin and I often joked that wed be next, we are now sighing a sigh of relief as weve both shut up shop now lol ! No instance so far of double multiple births in our family. But it may be possible that if a twin was stillborn the baby wasnt registered, so many people wasnt aware they had a twin as events were often not spoken about in families. Elaine x

I have twin girls, although not identical. My father in law is a twin, my Grandmothers sisters were twins. All naturally conceived. If I had lived years before then I would have died during childbirth as my twin girls were what they call tranverse (both lay across my stomach) with no way to move head down, so I had to have an emergency caesarian and was unconcious for fours days afterwards as none of the blood transfusions or medication were working for a while afterwards, I finally pulled through Thankgod and am here to tell the tale. I'll be tyou are Star, i would be too! I was thinking about how many of our past rellies had multiple births without any medical intervention, how many had twins and how many then went on to have a second multiple birth. I've not come accross one yet

I used to work in a playgroup and there were 6 siblings that came. 5 girls and 1 boy. The mother was unmarried but with a partner who had previous kids from previous marriage. They were in the paper at the time as they didnt work and were receiving ivf. She was offered multiple abortion options. Any way they were lovely kids but one of the girls was terribly handicapped. I often wonder what happened to them as they moved to the isle of wight. They must be almost teenageres now. I also often wonder how the Walton family are doing now as they are now 22. Are any of them married with their own children yet? Imagine searching their family history in the future and finding 6 girls all born on the same date. You would suspect an error with the dates wouldnt you. Gloria

I was a multiple birth child but my twin didnt survive, i threaten my 14 year old with 'You know that twins usually skip a generation, so i hope you have twins and I hope they are like you 'LOL she used to take it as a compliment :-))
