Gemma is nice - meaning little gem in Latin (fits in with the mum's name Sapphire). But the same friend who has Bella also has a dog called Gemma! Dammit why are all the good names taken! Aussie place names - well she was born in Ballarat - so maybe Bally? Quite like the goddess names too - Isis is a bit hard to say though (bit hissy!). Troika means threesome in Russian apparently!

Thank you all for some great suggestions. Quite like Tilly, that's a possibility. Can't use Aggie I'm afraid (have a friend called Aggie - short for Agnetha!). Carmen was a disgraced politician here in Perth! Cassa - nice idea, combining the parents names - maybe Cassie even? I do like Bella but a friend's dog has that already. Any more? keep 'em coming! Like Lara said Matilda can't beat that for a good Aussie name but then you could call her Ozzie, Melba (another great Aussie), then there's Sydney the best place on earth :-) LoL, Queenie after QLD, what are the suburbs around you? Hit google up for some famous Aussies. Gypsy Joe

She's 8 weeks old, a long-coated white German Shepherd. Totally adorable of course! Pictures of the litter and of her mum (''Saffi'') are at the breeder's website: http://home.iprimus*com.au/whiteshepherdau/sovereign/sp.html Anyone got any suggestions for her name? Gotta be easy off the tongue and short (or easily abbreviated), not too cutesy but feminine. Have had several suggestions - nothing has struck so far so still looking for the ideal name for her. Anyone able to help? Richard
