just watched the skating on ice extra on itv and David Seaman made me burst out laughing. Somebody phoned in and asked if they had learned enough to teach their children to ice skate and David said he has bought skates for his 2 kids so it wont be long before he is tossing them around!!!! Just thought it was a funny comment!!!

I agree with you Jeanette about Gaynor, she really should win.

The whole point is Jason critisised Kelly for not being a much better skater after 3 weeks, yet Bonnie is still skating the same if not less time now she is always in the air. She does look good its true but its a skating competition not flying through the air. She must get an input into the programme, they are obviously devised to keep her off the ice as much as possible. Gaynor to win she has come on so much from being absolutely terrified in the first weeks.

I admire anyone that can stand on two knife edges on ice...the same goes for the strips of wood some foolhardy people strap to their feet, and then plunge headlong down a mountain covered with snow, carrying two thin sticks - what's that about....fun....no.....not for me....

I think anybody who can stand up on ice is good lol Taking my grandsons years ago i was more on my bottom! Like Gaynor to win. I know they're all novices but she sometimes actually looks terified and still manages to come up with a good performance. That takes guts. Good entertainment from all. Mau :0)

Oh Well, Vivienne...you have more insight than me.. so i bow out to your insider knowledge... :)), But... remember, we all do change over the years, i know i am not the same brash outgoing person i was when a child, or teenager... the passing years have brought me some maturity and understanding, thankfully, ;))

Hear hear margaret!! I am the same age as Bonnie and cringe when she does the splits and such like.... I asked my daughter about this.. as some of you know, she is in the National ice squad (figure skating), and like me.. she says bonnie is enjoyable to watch, whether in the air or on the ice...And that was my point.... It is a TV programme, purely for our entertainment thats all. And no, i wont be voting for bonnie, But i do think it unfair some of the comments about her. :)) Oh and Vivienne.. you know Bonnie Langford personally do you to state she is of that character?

Like I said before it is not Bonnie's fault that she allegedly spends more time in the air than on the ice but the routine is down to the choreographer - her partner. When you are being taught and partnered by a 'professional' you can hardly criticise their decisions can you ? As for her looking her age but still being as flexible and acrobatic as she is, I wonder how many of us were similar in appearance at 40+ and equally as acrobatic ? And no... I am not supporting her to win this competition, my choice is Gaynor, but I do think the constant criticism is a trifle unfair.

I am not a skater, OR a dancer, but I would think that it is easier for a dancer to learn how to do a decent routine, on ice, than say for a footballer etc. to do the lifting and carrying, on ice......he /she has a lot more to learn.... Bob

Yes, she might look good with her arial poses but it IS an ice dancing programme. The male celebs have to skate AND lift their partners. I hope Stefan wins on Saturday.

Well - the voting is entirely in the hands of the public for Saturday's final - the Judges don't get to vote at all !!!!

Well i for one enjoy her performances... i think the acrobatics she performs are just as enjoyable to watch and equally technically difficult to do as the skills learnt on the ice itself... and yes.. i used to hate her in Just William... but then.. it was only a part she played wasnt it! To vote her off because of a character she played over 30 years ago is a bit daft really... and can any of us do what she does in the air whilst travelling at speed on the ice? :)))

Thats really funny, my dad loathes Bonnie Langford because of her Just william days. He really cant bear to watch her. It doesnt matter to me that shes mainly in the air, the whole performance is watchable. The lifts and aireal acrobatics are worth the points she recieves. Elaine x
