Sandra I live in Perth Western Australia and we have some beautiful birds here the Parrots especially are magnificent and so friendly. But the government here will not allow you to feed the wild birds and you can get heavily fined if caught feeding them. I get lots in my garden and I am often tempted to feed them but my purse can't afford a fine lol. I feel so sorry for them sometimes. For those that are allowed to feed the birds please do they make our life so pleasant when they whistle and sing in our gardens. MMMMM all except that darn crow that wakes me every morning lol Regards Jackie

hi I am up at 5 a.m. every morning to feed the birds lol....I know I am a crazy woman but it is worth it when I see them all swoop in...I butter them bread and cut it into tiny pieces, I also give them wild bird seed and just lately since the weather is freezing I give them a fat ball.....the hardest part is trying to keep their water from freezing...any suggestions on that? Maggie

It would be cruel to feed the birds in our garden, like fattening them up for our cats! Julie xxx

Certainly worthy of posting. Our birds are fed with seed ,nuts and coconut. Everyone should try and feed the birds particularly in the winter months. Rupert

No Sandra, this is not at all boring. I am off now to put some fat balls out on the patio. Thanks for the reminder:-) BC XX
