I have Mary Ann's by the dozen, probably by the hundred!! And a rash of Emmelines in one family. By and large, all fairly normal, except for one line who had a penchant for Dorothea, Alethea, Athelinda, Leah, Editha, Bathsheba, Letitia ..........!!! For a bunch of agri labs, i think they had delusions of grandeur!! Bev x

I know what you mean Beryl, bringing down the family names, I was surprised to find a set of g g gparents who were called Samuel & Elizabeth, whose great grandson was a Samuel, who also married an Elizabeth!!!! Lin xx

Most unusual female first names in my tree are - Margire (Marjorie) Nova Winsome Gurty Dominique Gertrude Rebekah Damaris Nannise Bryanna Constanza Magdalen Oh, and nearly forgot - Lucretia!

Elizabeth (18) Mary (16) Mary Ann (9) Jane (7) Most unusual Irena and... Cecil (yes, female!) - The wife of the Rector of Eynesbury, Bucks and his daughter! My ancestor was their governess. Linda Oops forgot about Sebbra/Siibra/Ziiporah/Zipnoah - I have 2 and they're spelled differently on every census!

Louisa and Elizabeth My grandmothers were Ellen Louisa, known as Lou and Loiusa Helena, known as Nell. I have a grandaughter Jemimah (Reminds me its here birthday in a few days time, someone remind me to send her a card on Saturday, or I'll forget.) She has a friend called Kezia and a friend of ours has a dog called Kizia, all named after Job's beautiful .daughters. Allthe names of my granchildren are biblical, David, James, Rachel, Elizabeth, Jemimah, Abigail, Luke, Samuel. (2 names each.) David
