Hurley is one of our favourite characters - he is very funny! Although the show was running for 20 odd weeks, it only covered a short time frame on the island, so they did say that his weight wouldn't necessarily have dropped as much as some people expected. Anyway, reality is totally skewed in the show so I don't feel that its an issue. I think you are either obsessed or not interested - its that sort of show!! Maz. XX

Ooooooooooh Maz ... not long until May. I have taken to watching 'Invasion' ... it's alright but not on the same level as Lost. Jean x.

'A surrealist novel written in 1940 has been rescued from obscurity after writers for the television drama LOST let slip that it was crucial to their cryptic plots.' The book is called The Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien. Apparently a copy of the book appears in the 3rd episode of the 2nd series - Craig Wright (one of the writers) says 'This book was chosen for a reason. Whoever goes out and buys the book will have a lot more ammunition as they theorise about the show. They will have a lot more to speculate about'. The article also says .... 'The writers have already dismissed theories that the survivors are dead, in a time warp or a figment of anyone's imagination'. May enquire about the book at the library - apparently 10,000 new copies have been printed in readiness for the surge of interest when the episode is shown! Maz. XX
