Have you taken anything for your head? Try and get some fresh air (not stuffy office air), that should also help your head. Picture kicking youe cones ( or somewhere more painful) and watching them cry.

how long are you on probation for? Have you tried talking to anyone about this fella yet?

Bec

Bec Report 15 Mar 2006 12:26

I'm being 'trained' for 3-6 months on a basic salary. I've been selected despite having NO experience in Recruitment, they just 'saw' I had the ability to do it from somewhere. But I've been doing all the work that he has, yet he has 20 years experience. He sits there, watches me make a mistake and then 'tells me off'. I understand about learning from mistakes/errors etc but my self-confidence is rapidly disappearing :0(

thats what happened with my last manager... the best thing you can do is go and talk to someone, cos if you let it build up and then just blow your top or something they can just turn round and ask you to leave, so go and speak to someone about it, not to complain just to ask for help and guidance!

Hi Bec! I hope your headache wasn't caused by him still patting you on the head! It doesn't matter how long he's been in the job, he should leave his discrimination skills to selecting people for jobs, not for nitpicking with you. He obviously doesn't have enough to do, so why not give all of us his office number, then we'll ring up and get him looking for jobs for us. That should keep him busy, the twerp! You could always ask the Big Boss if there's a possibility of being transferred to another branch when your training is complete. If you're asked why, you could say that you don't think X and you would make a good team, as he seems to find fault with so much that you do. Forget the 'office politics'. A bit of plain speaking is what's needed here, especially if the situation is making you ill. Hang on in there, kid, we're rooting for you. CB >|< XX
