Blimey you lot - what a lot of weddings there must be on this summer. I'm going to one too, but probably won't wear a hat. Rick :-))

If you're not sure about the style of hat, I believe 'fascinators' are very fashionable at the moment. My two nieces aged 21 and 19 both wore them to a wedding last summer and looked great. (If you don't know what I mean, it's hard to explain but they are a bit like a headband, usually with a flower and a few feathers!)

Bec I could do window shopping this weekend but no purchasing - not got the dosh yet! Actually I've just seen that Empire Line dresses are 'in' this year - they're about the only style I can buy that fit me! Jean - you and I had the same thought about wide brims lol Maz. XX

Thanks Ann, will have a look! Maz/Jean - Shame we didn't think about it in advance, this Saturday could have been combined with a Hat Shopping Exercise!! xx

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 20 Mar 2006 12:13

Hi Bec, I would probably wear more of a girly hat if you know what I mean - big brims tend to suit me .... hide my face lol ! I have got a lovely white and black hat in my cupboard, so maybe I will be able to match my outfit to that?! I quite fancy a white linen trouser suit, mind you I will probably spill summat down it after 2 seconds, or sit on something unpleasant knowing me! Maz. XX

I wasn't going to bother with a hat for the wedding I am going to. I thought they were out of fashion.... but if you youngsters still wear them perhaps I will too. I DO LOVE A HAT

Bec

Bec Report 20 Mar 2006 12:06

Maz - Any idea of what sort of hat yet? I'm trilby-mad at present! xx Hello Karen!!! Poor you re: the black, black and more black issue :0( xx Shelli - Until ALL the Spring/Summer clothes are out in the shops I won't be able to make a decision. I will however DEFINITELY be wearing a hat! XXX Liz - Awww Thanks :0) I'm sure they'll be some photos floating around after the event!

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 20 Mar 2006 12:02

I'm like you Bec, only the other way round - bigger at the bottom than the top! I just cannot wear dresses. I'm going to look for a summery trouser suit for the one I'm going to - then I can buy the 2 bits separately in different sizes. Maybe a hat too - I like hats for weddings! Maz. XX

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 20 Mar 2006 01:49

Bec, why not look for a skirt and top so you can choose the appropriate sizes and later you can wear them seperately with different tops and skirts/trousers/ fitted shorts etc. so you get some more wear out of them. I am sure you will look good anyway whatever you decide on. Liz

Hi Bec, My yougest had exactly the same problem, she solved it, when a dress is needed, she makes her own. I can't give you any advice as I'm not sure what is in fashion this year but if you're not into making I would stick with a two piece of some description. Vivienne
