The poison was in the ice cubes. They had not melted when Frankie gulped his drinks,but the poison was slowly released into Pete's drink and subsequently he died!! Easy wasn't it?? lol Mau ;0)

After bolting 2 G-T's Frankie vomited it all back up so it never took effect, Pete an the other hand didn't so the poison get into the blood streem.

Because the poison was not in Frankies system long enough, if he was nervous, and could not wait to get away, he probably relieved his system of the poison..............before his friend who took his time to ingest more of the poison?????????????? Evil Eddie needed to bump off two of his gang who 'knew too much'. He invited them around to his house and presented them both with gin and tonic laced with poison. Frankie Sharpe, nervous and suspicious of Eddie's intentions,downed his gin and tonic in one,asked for another which he similarly bolted,before making his excuses and leaving. Pete 'The Knife' was not so paranoid and spent a pleasant evening lingering over his drink while he chatted to Eddie about the good old days. The next morning Pete was dead but Frankie was alive. Why did the poison have no efect on Frankie?
