Depends what you call cool! Cold water could send you into shock and god help you then! Warm water is ok though, think infants bath water for the temperature. It it still feels to hot you can always add more cold water very SLOWLY! The trouble is a feaver is designed to kill an infection but it upsets everything else in the process. Have you tried the following:- Fan, not on you diectly but just on to move air around the room Cool drinks Wearing as little as possable Paracetamol and Ibuprofen:- you can take Paracetamol 4 times a day and Ibuprofen 3 times a day, alternating them tends to work really well for a temperature (Ibuprofen is not advisable if asthmatic). Bec - ditch the beechams love and go back to normal paracetamol! beechams has less paracetamol than the normal tablets.

Well then, try a cool bath and,if you still have a temperature despite the Beechams, I think you might need to see the Doctor. Poor you :o( Take care xxxx Helenxxx

I didn't mean all of them! try a thinish loose nighty or pajarmers, but not lots of thick heavey layers as they keep the heat in and push your temp up!

I may be about to receive some treatment... Could be interesting... If I'm not back shortly then I'm in bed or being looked after! Thanks everyone, xx

Don't take more paracetamol if you have been taking other products containing it. Too much can be DANGEROUS. Have you any loose clothes made of natural fibres?eg cotton They would be more comfortable than manmade mixtures if you are hot.
