CAMBRI-IDGE!!!! ''Cambridge are odds-on favourites to beat Oxford in the 152nd Boat Race, and most observers give the experienced light blues the advantage. But a poor weather forecast for Sunday, and a high tide on the River Thames, could make the event far more even. Both crews have had to deal with waves breaking into boats during training. Conditions are definitely going to be rough but we welcome a good, tough race and that extra dimension challenges the crews,' said Oxford coach Sean Bowden. The race takes place on the fastest part of the incoming tide, at 1635 BST. Bowden's counterpart Duncan Holland told BBC Sport: 'The Tideway is a special piece of water. We planned for all eventualities and rough water is one of those. Cambridge were the last crew to sink mid-race, in 1978. Oxford last sank in 1951 and both crews were stopped by water in 1912.''
