Jess you need to ask your solicitor whether a completion date was set in stone when y ou exchanged and what sort of compensation you can expect for your expenses for him not completing and also if yur buyer tries to get compensation from you if that wil be passed onto him. I know you're doing the move yourself but you'll have to rehire a van, unpack your essentials so need to buy more stuff to repack etc. There your facilities e.g. gas, electric, council tax which you've probably cancelled by now - if there's a difference in council tax will he pay, will you have problems reconnecting or will you be charged for it? oh - and a huge HUG for you babe. Zoe , cant have been if we haven't even exchanged! maybe i have assumed too much- conveyancer needed my 'difference' money ready for the cheque to be cleared ''in time'' last week - going to check my bank accout to see if the cheque has been cashed yet or not - hope not.
