i think the last thing your mum wants is you to up and leave to help with the bills, try just giving her a hug and making her a brew, you know, all the thiings she does for you, three jobs and a family is too much for anyone, im suprised shes still on her feet dont look on it as the money loss, look on it as mum having a bit less to do, go on daniel buy her some flowers tomorrow, and give her a hug

Daniel ... so sorry to hear about your brother. I do hope your Mum and Dad are O.K. It can't be easy for any of you. Do you interact with your brother? Jean x.

Err yeah, of course I do, and my sister.

Daniel Report 4 Apr 2006 20:32

Hope so. He was born this way and at home he seems fine, but apparently that's not the case at school.

it actually sounds very callous how you have put it over. sharing a room with dead stuffed animals wont help your brother much

Yeah she used to be Cleaner, Dinner Lady, and Cleaner again. Now it's just the first two. I'm not asking for advice or female household tips! I'm just saying how it is :-)

Perhaps the answer in the short term would be to learn to cook and give the lady a break !

My brother has had a very disheartening school report saying that he isn't making any progress, academically or socially. He'll also be off for a psycologist's assesement. He's got a degree of autism so is mentally backwards, 12 but acts more 7/8. Cook is going to stay home in the evenings from now on and look after him and engage with him more. Got to be for the best. She'll still have her other two jobs, but it's one less wage. I hope to be getting an income from June and possibly even be out by the age of 19, so that will help.
