The Lady Marion Report 17 Apr 2006 12:21

This has been a lovely thread and a pleasure for me to be part of. But remember my brothers and sisters God is not of this world and his ways are not our ways. So whenever a problem comes to light or a situation needs sorting out try not to get angry or upset and take a step back and think about the matter at hand and why Jesus the Son died on the cross. For Jesus cried out to his Father in Heaven forgive them Father they know not what they do. No problem is too great for Gods shoulders to carry and anyone that calls upon the name of the Father will be heard. Goodnight and God Bless to you all. Marion Australia

Not to be confused with Maid Marion but I am the Maid Marion The Second. Yes Christ will return but not until the third temple has been built and all the churches can become one and sing in one voice. Then Christ will return. Easter Greetings to you all and praise and glory to the one who deserves all the honour. Jesus Christ our Lord our Saviour. Regards Marion

I must confess that I'm not overly religious, but one of my all-time favourites is Ethna Campbell's version of 'The Old Rugged Cross'. Absolutely beautiful; that lady has the voice of an angel. x

To God be the glory, great things He has done; So loved He the world that He gave us His Son, Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, And opened the life gate that all may go in. Refrain Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice! Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice! O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, And give Him the glory, great things He has done. O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, To every believer the promise of God; The vilest offender who truly believes, That moment from Jesus a pardon receives. Refrain Great things He has taught us, great things He has done, And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son; But purer, and higher, and greater will be Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see. Refrain

Led like a lamb to the slaughter In silence and shame There on Your back You carried a world Of violence and pain Bleeding, dying, bleeding, dying You're alive, You're alive You have risen, Alleluia! And the power and the glory is given Alleluia, Jesus, to You At break of dawn, poor Mary Still weeping she came When through her grief she heard Your voice Now speaking her name Mary, Master, Mary, Master! At the right hand of the Father Now seated on high You have begun Your eternal reign Of justice and joy Glory, glory, glory, glory

I serve a risen Saviour, He's in the world today; I know that He is living whatever men may say; I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer, And just the time I need Him, He's always near. He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart. In all the world around me I see His loving care, And tho' my heart grows weary I never will despair; I know that He is leading thro' all the stormy blast, The day of His appearing will come at last. He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart. Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King! The hope of all who seek Him, the help of all who find, None other is so loving, so good and kind. He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today! He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way. He lives, He lives, salvation to impart! You ask me how I know He lives? He lives within my heart.

The Resurrection - Jesus Is Risen! (Mark chapter 16 ) The next evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Salome and Mary the mother of James went out and purchased burial spices to put on Jesus' body. Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they came to the tomb. On the way they were discussing who would roll the stone away from the entrance to the tomb. But when they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone - a very large one - had already been rolled aside. So they entered the tomb, and there on the right sat a young man clothed in a white robe. The women were startled, but the angel said, 'Do not be so surprised. You are looking for Jesus, the Nazarene, who was crucified. He isn't here! He has been raised from the dead! Look, this is where they laid His body. Now go and give this message to His disciples, including Peter: Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see Him there, just as He told you before He died!' The women fled from the tomb, trembling and bewildered, saying nothing to anyone because they were too frightened to talk. It was early on Sunday morning when Jesus rose from the dead, and the first person who saw Him was Mary Magdalene, the woman from whom He had cast out seven demons. She went and found the disciples, who were grieving and weeping. But when she told them that Jesus was alive and she had seen Him, they didn't believe her. Afterward He appeared to two who were walking from Jerusalem into the country, but they didn't recognize Him at first because He had changed His appearance. When they realized who He was, they rushed back to tell the others, but no one believed them. Still later He appeared to the eleven disciples as they were eating together. He rebuked them for their unbelief - their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. And then He told them, 'Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in My name, and they will speak new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won't hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.' When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God's right hand. And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked with them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs. God loves you so much that He send His son Jesus Christ to die for your sins. After His resurrection and ascension into heaven, He sent His Spirit to live in our lives and empower us to live the abundant life. But we must personally ask Him into our lives to be our Lord and Savior. If you are sincere about asking Him into your life, why don't you pray the suggested prayer below: (Prayer is talking to God. God knows your heart and is not as concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart.) Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life to You and ask you to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be. Amen.

Ancient Easter songs, radiant in their simplicity, were the main source of inspiration for popular hymns of later times. As early as the second century, the priest Melito of Sardes (Asia Minor) praised the Resurrection: Trembling for joy cries all creation; What is this mystery, so great and new? The Lord has risen from among the dead, And Death itself He crushed with valiant foot. Behold the cruel tyrant bound and chained, And man made free by Him who rose!

We sang this one - my favourite :-))) I danced in the morning when the world was begun, And I danced in the moon and the stars and the sun, And I came down from heaven and I danced on the earth, At Bethlehem I had my birth. Dance, then, wherever you may be, I am the Lord of the Dance, said he. And I'll lead you all wherever you may be, And I'll lead you all in the dance, said he. I danced for the scribe and the pharisee, But they would not dance and they wouldn't follow me. I danced for the fishermen, for James and John; They came with me and the dance went on. I danced on the Sabbath and I cured the lame. The holy people they said it was a shame. They whipped and they stripped and they hung me on high And they left me there on the cross to die. I danced on a Friday when the sky turned black. It's hard to dance with the devil on your back. They buried my body and they thought I'd gone But I am the dance and I still go on. They cut me down and I leapt up high. I am the life that'll never, never die I'll live in you if you'll live in me. I am the Lord of the Dance, said he. Maz. XX

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang: 'Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!' Rev 5: 11-12 He is risen indeed - the guarantee of resurrection to life for those who love Him.
